Go to Menu -> Settings and Select “Accounts & Sync”.

Check the box that says Auto-Sync.

After Sync, you can check that your contact and calendar information is uploaded to your Google Account by logging into Gmail on your PC.
LG Mobile recommend that you backup your personal information (Contacts, Calendar) using Google Account Sync.
If you are using a 3G Mobile Network you may occur additional charges, please check your data usage with your operator, LG Mobile recommend that you try to sync by Wifi.
To use Google Sync, you need to have a Google Account and be signed in on your device.

Select the Applications you want to Backup

LGE recommend that you backup the applications you have installed to your SD card before using phone update. To do this you can install “ASTRO File Manager” from the Market.
After Updating your phone, you will need to re-install “ASTRO File Manager” again to restore your Applications.

Download the OS upgrade program (LG Mobile Support Tool).
by clicking “Program Download” on the right.
If USB drivers are not installed, Click “USB Driver Download”
on the right and install them.
Your Phone connects to the PC using the USB cable for software update.

Synchronize your personal information (Contacts, Calendar) using Google Account Sync.
