NOTICE : Please make sure you are using the latest version of MOBILE SYNC before running the OS upgrade on your handset.

  • After upgrading OS from 1.6 to 2.1 your user data will be erased.
  • Please backup your data in advance.
  • Applications downloaded from Android market will be erased as well.
  • The data which is stored on the SD card won’t be erased.
  • After Upgrading to 2.1 you cannot return to the previous version 1.6.

    • How to do

        Go to Menu -> Settings and Select “Accounts & Sync”.

        Check the box that says Auto-Sync.

      • 3

        After Sync, you can check that your contact and calendar information is uploaded to your Google Account by logging into Gmail on your PC.

      LG Mobile recommend that you backup your personal information (Contacts, Calendar) using Google Account Sync. If you are using a 3G Mobile Network you may occur additional charges, please check your data usage with your operator, LG Mobile recommend that you try to sync by Wifi. To use Google Sync, you need to have a Google Account and be signed in on your device.

        Download “ASTRO File Manager”.

        Execute “ASTRO File Manager”

      Click “Menu”

      Click “Tools”

      Click “Application Manager/Backup”

      Select the Applications you want to Backup

      Select “Backup”

      Complete

      LGE recommend that you backup the applications you have installed to your SD card before using phone update. To do this you can install “ASTRO File Manager” from the Market. After Updating your phone, you will need to re-install “ASTRO File Manager” again to restore your Applications.

        DO NOT disconnect the USB cable until the update is completed !

      Download the OS upgrade program (LG Mobile Support Tool).
      by clicking “Program Download” on the right. Phone Upgrade Program Download       If USB drivers are not installed, Click “USB Driver Download”
      on the right and install them. USB Driver Download       Your Phone connects to the PC using the USB cable for software update.

        Login to your Google account on your phone.

        Click “Auto-sync” in Settings “Accounts & Sync”.

        Check that your contacts and calendar are restored from Google account.
