And then, click "Upgrade" button.

4. After upgrading, System will restarts automatically.

LG has developed a new User Interface (UI) for some of our NAS devices. Installing the new UI is not required, you may continue using the current UI.

When updating to the new UI, the NAS will be reformatted. This includes all user data. If you want to upgrade to New Platform UI, You must backup all your data to another device before updating.

After upgrading to new UI, HDD SMART check function is running and the result of HDD SMART status appears on NAS web UI. 
If you get a HDD SMART error after upgrading, please contact to LG service and get a proper service.

※  The below issues are improved in the next firmware.

1. The first issue that FTP port is changed to 21 port (21 is the default FTP port number)
   If the irregular port for FTP is used, please setup FTP port again after upgrading.
2. The second issue that Network host name is going back to LG-NAS Server after upgrading

New Optical Disc Drive (DVD-RW) firmware version R103 of LG NAS N2R1 is released 
(model: GH50N)

WebMenu -> Information -> Status ->  DVD  (Only GH50N model can be used.)


※ Caution

1. While upgrading firmware, Stop other works on PC and Be careful for PC Power-off.
2. Give a warning to client user so as not to access LG NAS while firmware upgrading           
3. Upgrade on PC which is installed Firewall or other Security program would be failed.

▶ Model Name : GH50N (N2R1)

▶ Firmware Version (ODD) : R103

▶ Firmware name : GH50N_R103_ARM

▶ How to upgrade :

1. If the current firmware version is R103, it is not necessary to upgrade the Firmware.
   How to check your firmware version: 
   LG-NAS WebMenu --> System --> firmware --> Optical Disc Drive 

2. If there is a Disc in Optical Disc Drive, please eject it.

3. Download the firmware, 'GH50N_R103_ARM' from Homepage. 

4. Click "Search" Button on "Optical Disc Driv" Category on LG-NAS WebMenu --> 
   System --> Firmware 
   Ant then, find the GH50N_R103_ARM and click "Upgrade" button.

5. It takes around 1~5 minutes to Upgrade the firmware.

1. File Viewer feature Improvement & Addition

- Addition:

(1). File Viewer Public link function 
     to create URL for a specific file and share 
     then, remote users can download the file via the URL.
     ex) can share Public Link about a specific file with friends via e-mail or etc.
     can setup the password to access the Public Link.
(2). to display the remaining time and transmission rate for file upload

     File Upload number limitation (6 ea -> 256 ea)
     Change of the compression program(pclzip -> php ZipArchive)

2. FAN Kick Start addition
  - the specified Kick Start voltage at Spec. is permitted to FAN by a software at the time
    to wake up from Hibernation.

4. Support SSC On function about Hitachi Jupiter HDD products.

5. Modify Raid0, JBOD configuration failure for 2TB HDD
   [Cause] For RAID configuration, Insufficient memory 
   [Measure] For RAID configuration, to solve the problem by securing memory and configuring SWAP      in case that the SWAP area size is zero.

- download : no limitation 
  ( over IE8, FireFox, google chrome browser : more than 5G for a single file )
  * Internet Explorer 6 : less than 2G
  * Internet Explorer 7 : less than 4G 
- HTTPS: add TCP 443 port to UPnP
- display Error message 
  when the folders/files used by special characters(\ / : * ? " < > |) are created 
  or uploaded.
- NAS explorer : only use HTTP (not HTTP)
- not to display in NAS explorer when folder create with the name composed of only 
  numbers in Web Admin.
- the status that the message-box window creates in the left bottom of the Admin
