Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great, but not so SMART. Lovely looking TV, let down by the inability to watch 4OD and other TV channels through the internet. LG techies say buffer/memory not big enough. Only reason I need to do this is that there is no app for 4OD like there is for BBC iPlayer. "After looking into your query, I can confirm that the 4OD app is not available on any of our LG Smart TV's, unfortunately. I do not have any information on if or when it may be added, unfortunately. I can confirm that the built-in internet browser in this TV is a basic browser which is intended for text-based browsing. It should not be used to watch videos as this will eat up the temporary internet and then videos will have problems playing as the TV has a very small memory. Any video you watch should be from an app and not on the browser. I am sorry 4OD is not available". Samsung have a 4OD app, shame LG do not. To get around this problem I connect my laptop to the TV via the HDMI lead to watch 4OD, hence not really very Smart. Also when watching films/TV drama - any fast panning of the camera causes the picture to judder, other reviews indicate this model of TV is good for that, I disagree. An old CRT TV handled fast panning very well indeed! The other features, 3D and other children's applications of limited use to me, but Skype good to have.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A very good 3d TV but screen is too reflective A good looking TV packed with good features. Magic remote and passive 3d are very good. Not so good is the very reflective screen which acts more like a mirror and the off angle viewing is poor especially during dark scenes when contrast fades badly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product is good value for money The TV is good value for money compared to other similar TV's. One complaint is that the TV does not swivel on its stand. Otherwise, the TV has performed satisfactorily since purchase. I like the fact that the screed occupies the whole size of the TV. This allows me to fit a 55 inch TV in my lounge, where before I could only fit a 47 inch.

The only thing I have a slight disagreement is the sound which I invested in home cinema from LG

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Customer service The tv is brilliant and easy to set up my complaint is the after care service my tv was only 32 days old and it had slow frame rate so the picture would slow up I rang LG and they wouldn't replace the tv it had to be sent away so I was left without a tv and after spending £1300 on a tv I found this very poor as you don't expect to have a tv for 32 days and need it to be repair but once fixed I cant fault the tv

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very poor support Dear Sir's, I am writing this email is frustration and disgust to how I am being treated with regards to an on going problem and total lack of support and customer satisfaction of you support team. From your records ref - CNE131108427806. I purchased a LG55LM670T 55 inch TV which became faulty and under the manufactures warranty and was returned to yourselves for repair. The initial faulty was a cloudy line at the top of the screen... upon its return I had received various calls and emails keeping me updated with its repair. Ultimately you were unable to repair the TV and I received a replacement TV model LG55LA860W on the 30th Nov ( This in turn has lost me my extended 5 yr warranty I took out with the original TV from Richer Sounds as I was unable transfer to the new TV as the new model is not sold by Richer Sounds# since this date I have been onto your support team multiply times to report a problem with the replacement TV. The fault is that the Freeview picture pixelates and rewinds etc whilst the speech remains constant. I reported this fault to the support team who basically said it was because my ariel signal was too strong for the TV. I disputed this as the previous model had no issues and several different TV's I have tried in my living room since do not show the problem. Your support team said they would not take any other action unless I tried a variable attenuator so to reduce the power and quality of the feed coming in from my ariel. I purchased the attenuator and proceeded to reduce the strength and quality of my ariel signal..... THIS HAS MADE NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL!!!!!!!! THE PICTURE STILL BREAKS UP...... SInce the beginning of the Dec I have lost count how many calls to your support desk/team and on all occasions they have said several people , 2nd level support, would ring me back....... ie names taken , Michael/Reese/Matt/Nick #no one would give me their surnames). I keep chasing as no rings me back and even yesterday I was promised Reese would be calling me back at 4.30pm, guess what he never did.... I am totally disgusted with the way I have been treated and have lost all confidence in the product / support desk and LG in general. I do not wish for this TV to be repaired as it failed within 24 hrs of receiving it and as per the sales of good act 1979 , this particular product is not fit for purpose and I state form those legal terms.... I want a replacement or full refund. I look forward to your response with in the next 48 hrs or I will be onto trading standards... A very annoyed and unhappy customer.....
