The 42-inch LG 42LM670T looks stunning, thanks to its frameless design. It also has excellent Internet and multimedia features, produces great quality pictures and delivers a strong 3D performance.

This TV has passive 3D technology and, as well as five pairs of glasses, it comes with a Magic remote that lets you scroll around Smart menus.

With its deliriously attractive looks, strong feature count and mostly brilliant performance, the only major complaint we can think of about the 42LM670T is that we want it to be bigger.

“For a launch price of £1,350 (47LM670T), you get an enviably well-made Freeview HDTV with an aspiration design and a feature roster that's hard to beat.”

“great spec; good looks; impressive online functionality; splendid pictures from all sources, with 3D a particular highlight that makes a great case for a place high up on your shopping list”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent viewing Stunning colour and depth. Excellent 3D. Great Smart features and the addition of having the normal remote as well as the magic remote, makes control very easy. Great styling. The only negative is the volume, which I believe is a common problem with thin TV's.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 3D-HDD-MKV Hello, I have just purchased this 55", LED Smart TV. It has got a very nice picture, but very disappointed with features where I am trying to connect my External hard drive and this High tech telly does not recognises the my NTFS system that my MAC is using, also does not play *.MKV files which is for 3D movies. I bought a home cinema system with a blue-ray player so I have got the sound ready, the screen as well it just does not play my movies from my hard drive. I am very disappointed with this product. As I never had a high tech telly which I was meant to buy I did not know what to watch out for when purchasing this TV, now I have got everything together and it is not working :((

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV at a super price I narrowed the choice down to a 40/42" Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and LG, read lots of independent reviews. The Sony usually came top with LG second in the technical reviws, but £1200 compared to £700 made the LG the best value for money, and I have not been disappointed with my choice. Compared to many TVs on the market the "frameless" design is superb, so it doesn't seem so big as other TVs with a similar sized screen. It can take a while to set up the TV for best colours, there is a wizard that can be used. The sound from the TV is adequate for many programmes, but I will get a soundbar or 5.1 system soon, it would be nice if there was an integrated unit that could fit on the stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it but........ Really think it's a brilliant machine, just a bit disappointed that I can't seen to download Flash to watch clips and "catchup" so this seems like a really big waste that isn't mentioned very much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good freebies but needs more apps It's one of the best 3D TV in this price range. LG improved its menu navigation system (in old models it was very annoying). It gives you a lot of freebies and this famous magic remote. Altough if you buy Samsung you can use your tablet instead. Overall excellent TV for this price range, but needs more apps (if you compare it to Samsung store).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great picture. . . Shame about the sound!! I had been searching for a Smart TV and comparing spec's between multiple manufacturers before deciding upon this model. It turns out that this model offers most of the same spec's as the new range but at a much more acceptable price!! Once you get set up the picture quality is superb and very clear with amazing realistic colour depth especially blacks. Colours are reproduced realistically also. Images appear crisp and movement is managed well with rare occurrences of blurring. Any negative comments I might have about this set are related to sound quality which is poor and can only be attributed to the physical dimensions of the TV which are extremely thin leaving no space for decent speakers!! I would strongly recommend using a surround sound or soundbar with this set to maximise your enjoyment. I have and the difference is incredible. In summary, I would recommend this model in a heartbeat due to its performance and cost when compared to other models on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality LED TV with excellent features Having researched this product prior to buying there are mixed reviews on the internet, many focusing on picture issues suffered by the set. However, having now purchased this model and having used it for several weeks I can honestly say I have not encountered any problems, and find the picture quality to be excellent. I watch a large amount of fast moving sport and blu-rays and the set has no problem coping with either. I did spend a bit of time tweaking some of the settings as these can make a lot of difference and am now extremely pleased with the picture displayed. The 3D is also very good, with excellent depth and definition. The build quality is excellent and the design makes this one of the best looking TVs available. Functionally, the TV does everything you could want it to do. I have it linked to a PC and it streams all file types without any problems. The inclusion of WiFi is an added bonus and the numerous other SMART functions mean this TV should do everything you want it to. So on to the minor negatives - the screen is extremely reflective, almost mirror-like and although this looks great when the TV is off, it can potentially cause some problems. I found if the room is overly bright, and what you are watching is particularly dark you tend to notice the reflection of the room on the screen. I think this particularly affected me because of the location of the TV in relation to the windows, and the spotlights in the room. Having altered the position of the TV slightly and changed the bulb strength in the lights, this is now much better. As with most LED TVs the in built speaker is also not brilliant, mainly due to the depth of the TV not allowing particularly big speakers to be fitted, It's no worse than most LED TVs I've experienced and suspect most people will attach to a surround sound system so don't expect this to be a major problem. In general I am extremely happy with this TV and would recommend it to anyone looking for a large LED TV.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY THIS TV This Tv did not support the latest flash players, so rendered the majority of the internet useless, When I phoned LG and asked when there would be a firmware update available, I was told there wasnt ,and that one would not be available. I took it back and bought a Samsung which plays everything and is constantly updated. LG did not want to know once I had purchased the product. Bit of advise LG....... I bought a smart tv to surf the web and play videos ect. from the comfort of my arm chair. please please please make firmware updates available. The tv itself was top quality, but the smart side of the tv, well lets just say it wasnt very smart!!! tut tut tut.
