What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall Excellent My second LG and quality is amazing. Fabulous blacks and amazing colours. Build is supreme with lovely design. The new webOS though has not lived up to the hype. It's clumsy with dreadful bouncing tabs, horrible choice of cursor which can only be enlarged or reduced, the shape is ugly. There are few changes that can be made by the end user and you are forced to have what they give you. Hopefully there will be some type of update that would give a better menu. They made a mistake changing the previous. Overall great TV but with some niggles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Best Picture I have ever Experience The picture is the best I have ever experienced but the experience was let down by the first TV breaking down within 24 hours. The replacement set was fine and we are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend this TV to all. As a previous poster mentioned the lack of ITV player needs to be addressed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Picture. Apps a bit limited Picture is fab, especially in 4K but we so 2.0 still not available and apps are limited. Would like to see ITV and Channel 4 apps as well as Facebook, Twitter, Kodi etc.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 65 inch oled 4k 3d tv Ok....the included 6 month free netflix voucher has expired before purchase so that's a no go. It's hard to fit to wall and get cables out of way. If your socket is behind it you will need to pack bracket of wall by 40mm using wood. And after 90 quid for bracket seems a bit of a joke as bracket is special and no other fits should come with a 4 grand tv for free. TV itself is pretty awesome. Though no 4k content really available. It won't run 3d through older av amps....picture is what you expected. Amazing. Curve can be a little distracting. And is very reflective if near windows....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent picture Such picture clarity, you almost feel you could reach and touch what you are looking at. Its the best I've seen so far. Takes a bit of getting used to in terms of navigating around the home menu and the mouse is very quick, but its worth the learning!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great picture but poor quality The picture quality of this screen is very good but the picture keeps freezing and/or disappears. The TV needs to be turned off then on to recover the picture and even then it sometimes doesn't and needs to be turned off then on several times. At this price I would advise people to wait until LG have solved all the teething problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best screen that I have ever seen First things first: this is by far the best tv screen that I have ever seen, anywhere. You simply forget that you are watching it: you are just so immersed in the content. This goes for both 2D and 3D Bluray, upscaled, and for HD broadcasts. Colours, including skin-colours, are accurate and full, and the absolute blacks are astonishing and absolutely realistic. Similarly the detail that even upscaled Bluray reveals is remarkable: I am pretty short-sighted, but there is no visible pixelation viewing the screen-surface from maybe 8 or ten inches away in examining detail on a 65" screen. There is no visible 'tinting' in normal viewing. I can find no fault at all with the display. As an object, this tv is beautiful. Despite its size it simply fits into the room and does not dominate. The curved screen I think is a positive improvement and enhances the room; it also increases the sense of depth in the viewing experience. I use a home cinema audio system. However the built-in speakers are bearable: no significant distortion at normal listening levels, but the sound-stage is shallow, even 'flat', and the sound lacks impact. I do not find WebOS 1 easy to use: it is garish and ugly, requires far too many clicks, and some of the settings are so well hidden that I cannot find them at all. Calibration is said to be a pig, though the Richer Sounds installer did a careful basic calibration for me, with which I'm entirely satisfied. Some of the applications do not work well: in particular Time Machine I cannot get to work at all. The manuals and Help are minimal and not very much use for this. I hope some of this will be put right in a firmware update due, I believe, in July 2015. The screen lacks HDR. I have not seen this in action, but some reviewers have been excited by it. I hope that it will be available for this flagship model as a firmware upgrade, as for other high-end LG models. This is a very expensive piece of equipment, and some of the rough edges in WebOS ought to have been sorted. I hope very much that LG will continue to maintain, improve and update this flagship system. But none of this detracts from the absolute quality of the screen, which is worth every penny.
