Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent picture, reasonable ease of use The quantum dot and ULED technology of this set place it on a virtual par with OLED and I wonder how well OLED sets will weather the passing of time as the lifetime of OLED was historically an issue. The voice recognition and webos2 work very well, albeit I think mouse pointing could be tweaked a bit to take into account that pressing a button tends to jog the mouse a bit, but that is probably tricky to do. The only real problem encountered was and is sound via a Sony STRDH820 AV system, this system supports ARC and ARC mostly works, but sometimes you need to kick things to get sound from kit attached to the Sony or the TV, on the pool game I have got managed to get Sony sound at all. I suspect the Sony is more of an issue than the TV, but I'd hope for more help from a TV as smart as this. There is surely enough in the ARC/hdmi-cec spec to do better than me having to turn on and off an unused device connected to the TV in order to get ARC sound from NetFlix!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 65UF950V Absolutely amazing picture quality. I have had this TV for 2 weeks now and viewed flawless blu rays and Sky HD. Not used the web services much as my internet speed is so slow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Instructions Would like to have had better instructions for use of the magic remote, especially operating other pieces of equipment with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lacks major catch up services Great TV, amazing image quality. Decent sound for such flat TV. What I miss are 4oD and ITV catch up services. Maybe soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I was a bit concerned what the picture quality would be like once the tv was delivered, but picture quality is excellent so pleased I decided on this tv.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Screen This is an outstanding TV, quality of both build and picture is great. Beautifully thin screen, the curved chrome effect stand looks stunning with the screen, the 65" screen had the capability of becoming overpowering in a small ish room, however the sleek design and thin bezel means that is not the case. The smart remote control looks beautiful and feels great in the hand, the button layout is good and are clear making control of the TV easy. I had some interoperability issues trying to get my Yamaha AV amp plugged through the first two HDMI ports on the TV, I think its to do with HDMI control interoperability issues. Apart from that I have found the picture quality in 4K, HD and 3D to be very impressed with this unit. The streaming services are fast and responcive over the inbuilt wifi connection. The webOS2 is simple and intuitive to use, very little reference to the manual was needed. A little disappointed that the 550 camera for the 2015 TV's seems to have been withdrawn leaving no camera or Skype option for this screen and therefore unable to comment on the slightly interesting motion recognition control. Also somewhat disappointed that the proper Plex client has yet to be released for WebOS2 and am therefore still relying on Playz which is a 3rd party chargeable app and has issues with embedded subtitles not being able to be disabled which is really annoying, so am still having to use external media players which arguably negates the need for a smart TV but I hope that will be dealt with soon. All in all I would recommend this unit for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A stunning UHD TV I have had this 65" model about 2 weeks now, purchased from my local Hughes store who were very helpful in letting me test a 55" model and gave me outstanding customer service (more later). My overall opinion of the TV is that LG have done a very good job with the technology and should be congratulated and I agree with the comments of other reviewers so I won't repeat them. No TV panel is perfect and I, like other technologists, will always find a fault but one has to be pragmatic and balance features, picture quality and of course price, and in my opinion this TV meets my requirements. Now I have used a UHD TV for everyday viewing I can't go back to a HD TV (unless it is less than 40"); the upscaling is so good that UHD broadcasts may not be needed for sometime (of course it depends how close you are to the set). The Pros for this set: - UHD picture quality is stunning on 65" and upwards sets, for full benefit. Check out the Astra UHD Demo satellite broadcast. - The set's upscaling of HD broadcasts (Satellite or Freeview, and Blu-Ray) are outstanding (close to UHD) and are far better than any upscaling of even a few years ago. Normal standard definition Freeview is OK and varies in quality depending on the broadcast, but still watchable. - 3D quality is the best I have seen on any LED/LCD set, of any make, with no crosstalk (blurring) - No noticeable motion blur or picture judder. - Dual HD tuners for satellite and Freeview so you can watch one channel and record another to a USB hard drive (after updating/downloading the TV's new 30/07/15 firmware v30.20.04). Sadly LG UK were unaware that this was coming when I asked them on 28/07/15, so I asked them to check with Head Office. - Sound quality is excellent but by default it is set to PCM, change to Dolby via the Settings and Clear Voice II is a vast improvement (more levels) than the previous incarnation. The Cons: - Beware that the panel may have excessive "banding" and may need replacing so be prepared to check it meets your requirements for picture quality, it can be very noticeable on panning shots in football, cricket and sky or snow. - The Smart Features require the user to agree to Legal Documents in order to function and update. LG does offer options to stop gathering user's Viewing Information, Voice Information and Personalised Advertising for those concerned, but it does not do itself any favours by not mentioning the fact on the intial Legal Documents screen, that you can wuthdraw you agreement at later date WITHOUT having to reset the whole TV (again LG UK didn't know this when I equired). I may have been unlucky but the first TV I received had faint vertical bands at regular intervals across the screen (I expected this might happen with an edge lit LED/LCD set) but what I didn't expect was two large vertical pink tinged bands which detracted from watching any TV content. I reported it to the retailer who replaced it with a new set without any quibble. The second set is much better with only a rarely noticeable small, very faint shadow near the top right corner of the screen which I can live with (unless it gets worse: still the TV has a 5 year warranty). I bought this model as OLED sets are far too expensive for an entertainment device: I have been waiting about 10 years for OLEDs to come to market and then the manufacturer's marketing ruined them by curving the panels and creating a distortion prone screen, try watching tennis and see what I mean. I will only buy a flat screen OLED at a realistic, reasonable price (I've done my bit as an early adopter). Finally I can only agree with owner reviewers that this set is sensational for normal viewing with very acceptable blacks, rich colours and no pale columns beneath white on black text (like with film credits) that other techical reviewers claim (of course it may be different for totally dark home theatre environments but in the real world its fine).
