What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent tv with two big flaws. Initially I would like to state, that I was previously working in the tv/audio industry for 14 years with software quality and user experience design, so this in particular affects how I perceive the daily use of any electronic device and usability. This TV is beautiful, no doubt about it, and the picture is dead gorgeous - that has been said countless times in just about any review you will see, so I will not go further into that. However, there's some flaws in it, which gets really annoying and doesn't make sense. 1. You cannot use internal speaker along with external speakers + simplink activated. I have a Marantz NR1607, connected via HDMI+ARC and CEC enabled, with 2 L/R front speakers. Why on earth make so much out of the sound part of a tv, when you really can't use it if you have external equipment, this is a bad software design of a tv in this price range! This absolutely stupid design forced me to buy an external center speaker to attach to the AV receiver. A real disappoinment. Previously I had a B&O tv, where the build in speaker could be used as center, with no delay or echo as a result of it. You really need to fix this issue in software! 2. This tv is a piece of art - for as long as you don't have any cables attached to it! Why why why do you have all the HDMI connections on the left side of it. If you have several types of equipment, you see these cables stick out from the left side, they should have been placed at the bottom of the screen, making it a lot easier to create a nicer installation. 3. Headphone plug should have been easy accessible. Instead of placing it somewhere for easy access, you have placed on the back of the TV - why? To me, it seems as someone didn't do their homework properly when designing the tv. Rule no 1 - find out about your customer requirements and perfect it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really good TV let down by this issue. I've had this TV for exactly one week now and feel that I am in a position to offer early comment. The set is really desirable from anaesthetic aspect and picture in UHD is really good. The settings for picture quality are infinitely adjustable using the options but (probably) to get the optimum settings you should shell out for the TV to be calibrated by an expert. However, one particularly annoying thing about this TV is its lack of auto--switching when viewing connected equipment. If you have several other items connected using the 4 HDMI inputs the TV will not display the image automatically of the other inputs, you will need to select the item from "All Inputs" manually. Really very annoying, older TV's from other manufacturers do this why not LG? Oh and Lip-Sync with SKY+ HD is hap hazard, during a film it is most of the time perfect, and then goes awry for no apparent reason.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TV money can buy My company bought over 10 of these to install in professional edit suites as client viewing monitors and they are incredible! Colours vivid and true (when corrected, which was simple) and in HDR the picture is amazing. Interface on the TV is intuitive and smooth. Apps fast and responsive. The only downside so far is that BBC iPlayer doesn't run in HD for some reason, but I'm sure this will change in time. Though expensive, if had this amount of money spare, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. Well done LG

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has to be seen to be believed! I would like to start this review of by stating that I considered, Samsung's ue55ks9000 currently top of their range, and the top of the range panasonic. Whilst these are good tv's I wanted the best tv available in my price range. Whilst this tv costs a pretty penny it is so much more than worth it. This TV will take your viewing to the next level... oh and the sound is amazing also. It is also future proof to a degree because it supports both high dynamic technologies, that being dolby vision and open format hdr10. I give this unit my highest level of recommendation.
