What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs improvement I got this phone in November 2016 and I absolutely love it! There's been a few problems I've had with it so far that really unimpress me though. I had a bad problem with screen burn in which shouldn't have been the case because there was nothing I was doing to have made that happen. I got an app that would run over night and reset the pixels so it would go away but it always came back. A recent update from the beginning of April I think addressed this problem because I havent had it since. The main issue is that I'm only getting 1/3 of the text messages people send me, and I can't be sure if mine are properly sending either. It's not a problem with my carrier, because I called and spoke to them about it and apparently LG had already been notified about this problem, and that they were working on an update to put out to fix this issue? I really hope this is the case because I love this phone and everything about it but I don't wanna have to go back to an iPhone because of this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great phone with some major issues I bought this phone a few months ago. While it is truly an amazing phone, it does have some issues that I see MANY others are having. First is the rear camera. The wide angle camera Works wonderful, the problem is the standard camera. The camera seems to not be able to focus anywhere past up close. I am attempting to take a picture of anything further away than three to five feet, it is blurry and I am unable to get it to focus. I even attempt to go to manual settings and manually focus the camera. This also does not work. I have seen many people with this problem. The phone itself isn't Prestige condition, it has no scratches no dents and has never been dropped. It has spent the entire time inside of a Lifeproof case and has taken on the water or any other of the elements. The second problem, is another big one. The GPS does not seem to keep track of where you are when you are moving. When you are stationary, it is pretty accurate as to where you are. But when I attempt to use navigation from the default app on the phone or any other application that requires GPS, it seems to put me all over the place it never does so exactly where I am. I could be anywhere from a quarter mile off the road driving in the lake or way up ahead or behind. But it never shows me in real time exactly where I am. This is also something I have seen many people talk about with this phone. I am always been a supporter of LG. I also have never had to worry about warranty with a phone because I never drop them or have issues. This seems to be a big issue, and since I was not one to get the insurance on the phone, it is only going to bring me more problems in the future. I mail see that the G6 has come out. I am not due for an upgrade for another year-and-a-half, so I am curious as to how long I will have to go with this phone that has two of the main functions that I use it for not working. I really do not like to talk about problems on a phone, but these are some pretty big ones that I feel you should be aware

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Best and worst phone I've had. I've had my G5 for 6 months and the software and operating system are great! The hardware on the other hand, my phone has 3 common problem among G5s. Screen burn, faulty GPS and faulty charging pin. The GPS works 50% of the time and most of the time shows me blocks away from my location. When my phone is unplugged I get a "Power Supply - Tap to change USB options" notification. The phone thinks its always plugged in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never again I am on my 3rd phone in less than a year. Junk. I refuse to pay the insurance deductible for another replacement. My Samsung Note II is still working fine, that's a good phone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product again! Changed from G3 to G5 about a month ago. Same consistent quality. Loved my G3 and now love the G5. Replaceable battery kicks butts, I always have a full charge ready whenever I need. Great buy for the price too.
