I Have icicles forming on the ceiling of the freezer compartment, can I do anything to prevent this?

Icicles can form when the freezer door has not been closed tightly in a humid summer weather

or when any cool air leaks. This is because the hot air (outside) and the cool air (inside) mix

everytime the door is opened and closed. 

This can occur more frequently in the summer season as humidity level is higher.

 

you should find this phenomenon will start to disappear when weather gets cooler.
Sudden formation of icicles are usually due to a door not being closed tightly.

Check stored food and shelf assembly to see if the door can be closed firmly. 
Remove the icicles on the ceiling with a warm towel before using.
