[LG refrigerator ice] The ice in the ice storage bin sticks together or becomes smaller.

Troubleshooting

If the ice is not used for a long time, the ice stored in the ice storage bin will become smaller or stick together.
It is a normal phenomenon in which moisture from ice evaporates naturally and adjacent ice cubes stick together due to moisture on the ice.
If the refrigerator door is left open for a long time in a humid environment, such as in summer, or if the door is not closed completely, ice cubes may melt and then stick together.

Try this

If the ice in the ice storage bin is not used for a long time, the ice may become smaller and stick together due to moisture evaporation.

➔ If the ice sticks together, take out the ice storage bin and shake it to separate the ice cubes.
If the adhered ice is not separated even after shaking the ice storage bin, throw away the ice, and replace the ice storage bin after washing and drying it thoroughly.

Also, if the door is left open for a long time when using the ice or the ice storage bin is left outside, the ice may melt and stick together.

Shaking apart the ice canister

If you intend not to use the stored ice for a long time, remove the ice from the ice maker and turn off the function.

➔ Unlock the lock and press and hold down the ice maker button for 3 seconds to turn the ice maker on or off.

If you wish to use the ice, turn on the ice maker function 1 to 2 days before use.

In summer, lower the temperature of the freezer and fridge and make sure that the doors are closed properly.

➔ When the humidity is high, such as in summer or during the rainy season, if the freezer door is left open for a long time or there is a gap in the door, heat and moisture may enter and cause the ice to melt or stick together.

Example of lowering the temperature of the refrigerator) Refrigeration temperature: -16℃ → -22℃, refrigeration temperature: 5℃ → 1℃
