[LG Styler] Learn more about the Sanitary cycle

Troubleshooting

What is the Sanitary cycle?

The Sanitary cycle uses steam and a drying process to remove viruses from clothes. During the cycle,
the Styler is maintained at a temperature of 60°C (140°F) for more than 10 minutes.
In order to maintain high temperatures for 10 minutes, the Sanitary cycle includes a preheating phase lasting 35 minutes,
unlike the Refresh cycle. Additionally, this cycle releases significantly more steam, extending three minutes longer than the standard Refresh cycle.

Regarding the efficacy against various viruses, the Sanitary cycle is capable of removing 99% of influenza viruses and Murine coronaviruses (MHV), as well as 95% of adenoviruses.

Corona virus

The coronavirus family includes viruses that infect humans and animals.
Human coronaviruses include types such as SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19, while other coronaviruses include Infectious Bronchitis Virus (IBV),
which affects chickens, and Mouse Hepatitis Virus (MHV), which infects mice.

The Sanitary cycle has been tested for its effectiveness against the Murine coronavirus (MHV).
It is important to note that MHV is distinct from SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19,
which was first identified in Wuhan, China, in January 2020.

caution

Fine fabrics, including fur, leather, cashmere, wool, chiffon, and linen, are susceptible to deformation or discoloration when exposed to water or steam.
As all Sanitary cycles involve steam, using this setting on delicate materials can result in damage.
