Phone Preparation

1 - Fully charge the battery.
2 - Save any important data onto your PC before updating      the software on your device.
3 - Remove the SD Card.
4 - Close all open applications on your pc before proceeding      with the update.
5 - Please connect your USB cable directly to the PC
     (Do not use a USB Hub).

a. Do not disconnect the USB cable until the update is     completed.
b. Calling and messaging functions are not available during     the update process.
c. The update takes approx. 10 - 30 minutes.
d. The handset is automatically reset during this process.

Ensure Your Driver is Up to Date

In order to connect your phone to your PC, you must download and install the latest driver below to your PC. When you are finished continue to step 2.

Restart Your Computer

Make sure to bookmark this page. When you restart your computer, click on your bookmark to return to this page and install the Mobile Support Tool.

Install the LG Mobile Support Tool

The LG Mobile Support Tool will easily help you update the software for your G2x.

After reading the "Phone Preparation" checklist above, connect your phone to your PC by using the bundled USB cable and Click 'Start Updating' within the LG Mobile Support tool to begin.
