Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best OLED with versatility on the market. I initially was looking at the 2016 B6 and E6. This is when I learned about the LG EF 65 oled...WOW!! Set up as entirely easy all you had to do was just attach the base, connect your HDMI and you're Off to the Races so to speak! This TV has eye-popping visuals along with perfect blacks and tantalizing colors. It's actually like looking through a plate-glass window. It is wonderful reviews from CNET and others like it. This TV also allows you the option of turning on the HDR display whenever is convenient for you. Some of the TVs are already on HDR regardless. This is a special TV easy to calibrate because most of the work is already done for you out of the box. However you may need to adjust to sharpness. You would do yourself a favor and get it off 2.4 gamma and change it to 2.2 gamma. This helps to smooth the lines and capture what the filmmaker really had intended for you to see. I recommend this TV to all my friends and family and to you the reader. It's a fantastic display what LG can actually do because they put the research and development into their products. I would not own anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome picture quality I knew after seeing demos of this tv I had to have one. I also needed to replace my old plasma and lcd/led tv's were just weren't up to par with my old plasma. When OLEDs came out I was blown away and knew I found a better replacement for my plasma.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG WOW I have had this 55LGOLED for 9 mos. now and it is beyond perfection. I improved it a bit with ISF color and grayscale calibration, i challenge any screen to be better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb product I barely write reviews, but this TV is outdistancing in so many ways, I can't wish for anything better! OLED technology is the only one you should Invest your money into! it will give you a very pleasant/vibrant picture experience. One drawaback, that I can mention is 3 HDMI ports.. I need 4 to connect all of my devices to it.. it's manageable, but tad inconvenient. I'm sure not everybody will run to this problem, but I did..

Hello, I have called LG and also Netflix. LG says Netflix needs to send them an app update b4 ef9500 will show HDR. Y is it taking sooo long?!?!

Asked by: Unhappyowner82
My TV shows HDR content but there's only a few on Netflix currently. If you've upgraded your Netflix account to 4K + unlimited screens then you should be able to see it available on a few shows.

I just got a 65 inch oled tv, can't find the stand. Please help

Asked by: Joge
If it was an unopened LG retail box you received then the stand should have been in it. If you threw the box away without looking through it then you probably threw away your stand.

Had my 65" LG smart tv for a month. All of a sudden it says WiFi is disconnected do I can't watch Netflix or you tube. When I go to network settings it just says "connect to wifi". Gee whiz yeah that's exactly what I'm trying to do!! help!

Asked by: Mvkidplay
That doesn't sound like a TV issue. That sounds like an issue with your wifi router. If your TV is close enough to the TV definitely use an Ethernet cable! You'll save that bandwidth for other devices and not have as many issues like this.

Asked by: Rayne K
Sign out first, then uninstall it. Turn the TV off and back on. Go to the content store and reinstall the app, sign back in.

Will this TV get a Dolby Vision update?

Asked by: HB1981
This TV will never be capable of displaying Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision uses it's own dedicated chip that would need to be installed at the time the TV was manufactured. However is Dolby Vision anything more than bait to buy the latest TV's? Yes, yes it is. Dolby Vision is great but most HDR content is displayed in HDR10 which this TV displays perfectly. HDR10 is the preferred format by many movie and television studios for current and future productions. Dolby Vision has a few years to get there, if it is embraced at all on a wide scale. In the next few years you'll hear a couple more formats come out and all of them want to be "THE" utilized visual enhancement format. HDR10 is already at the top of the mountain & studios and manufacturers already have millions of dollars invested in it. Honestly I'll put it this way. I was on the fence about Dolby Vision sets vs this one as well. I've now watched and re-watched Blurays and 4K discs that were not HDR capable and this TV amazes be with it's 10-bit rich colors and contrast. Watch HDR content and it's even better, which I don't even know how. Bottom line don't worry about Dolby Vision. As of right now in 2017 it's just a sales tactic & buzz phrase. There isn't hardly any content that utilizes it and it's not dramatically better than HDR10. I'll say it again, non-HDR and also HDR10 content on a 4K set, especially an OLED set, is amazing without Dolby Vision! Another thing to keep in mind is that this TV is capable of 10-bit color with a widened color palette to enhance it even more. That means putting this TV next to a 2016/17 counterpart, even if 12-bit color, and you'll have trouble telling which one is which based on color alone. It's such a nit picky thing if you really try to find a difference. Don't drive yourself crazy. That's like saying do I want the Mercedes with the moon roof or no moon roof. You're driving a Mercedes! lol

Audio is disabled how to get it back?

Asked by: rashnmur
Settings, audio, select your TV's speakers as the default output mode. If you are using an external audio soarce such as a soundbar then make sure it's plugged in correctly and turned on, then select that.
