[LG TV Audio] TV sound does not come out or is too low

Troubleshooting

If the TV speaker is not enabled in the speaker setting, the TV speaker does not output sound.
If you have an external device (set-top box, PC, Blu-ray player, DVD player, game console, etc.) connected to the TV, the TV audio may not work or be too low depending on the audio/volume settings on the device.

Try this

Try changing the Sound Out setting or running the sound test in the Sound menu to check if your TV speaker works okay.

➔ You can enable or disable the function by changing the commentary or sound-multiplex settings.

Setting methods may differ by product.

Smart TV (WEB OS)

Select Home → Settings → All Settings (Advanced Settings) → Sound → Sound Out → internal TV Speaker.
Select Home → Settings → All Settings (Advanced Settings) → Sound → Sound Test.

Smart TV (NETCAST)

Select Smart Menu (or Settings Menu) → Sound → Sound Out → internal TV Speaker.
Select Smart Menu (or Settings Menu) → Sound → Sound Test.

General TV

Select Settings (Menu) → Audio → TV Speaker: On.
Select Smart Menu (or Settings Menu) → Sound → Sound Test.

If you have an external device (set-top box, PC, Blu-ray player, DVD player, game console, etc.) connected to the TV, check the audio output from the device.

➔ If you have a set-top box connected to the TV, try adjusting the volume from both the set-top box and the TV.

If the set-top box volume is set too low or to zero, the TV speaker may not output sound, or the sound may be very low.
The volume-related settings and the display location may differ by the model of the set-top box.
