NFC (Near Field Communication) is a non-contact short-range wireless communication module which is similar to Bluetooth, but this function enables communication with simple ‘Tag’ motions without special settings between the smartphone and the device.
Smartphone usage conditions
- Wireless communication (3G, 4G, Wi-Fi) should be possible.

It is available only for Android smartphones with the NFC function. (It is not available for iPhone because iPhone does not have the NFC Data transmission and reception function.)
The Apple Pay (payment) function is only possible for the NFC of iPhone 6 and 6 plus.
Tag On menu composition
- Tag On diagnosis: This function provides easy self-diagnosis of failures to suggest causes and solutions to problems.
- Tag On course download: This function allows you to download desired new functions that are not available in the washing machine by touching only once.
- Washing coach: This function helps you to manage washing and the washing machine efficiently (check the time for cleaning the tub and using correct amounts of detergent).
- Washing diary: This function allows you to view the history of courses used, frequently used courses, recently used courses and start a course immediately.
- One touch washing: This function allows you to set the course and start washing at once by touching once when you simply select the washing condition.

Try this
Download, install and use the [LG smart washing machine] application.
1. Search for and download ‘LG Smart ThinQ’ from Google Play Store.
2. On your smartphone (Android phone), activate the NFC function and place the smartphone on the ‘Tag On’ logo at the right end of the washing machine.
Your smartphone will be automatically connected to a link for downloading. (If the application already has been installed, the application will be executed automatically.)
