[LG Styler steam]Moisture remains on my items after the steam cycle is complete

Troubleshooting

Do you have this symptom?

  • Moisture remains on my items after the steam cycle is complete.

At a glance

Styler uses steam, so moisture may remain inside the Styler or water may be collected in the drip tray after completing a cycle.

Try this

The Styler is opened during operation.
If you open the Styler when steam is being sprayed, the cold air from the outside meets the high-temperature steam inside the Styler, causing condensation and water at the bottom.
Do not open the Styler when it is in operation.
There is an excessive amount of dust in the lint filter.
Before and after using the Styler, clean the filter regularly.
If dust accumulates, air will not circulate properly during the drying cycle and the inside of the Styler may not dry completely.
Clothes are stuck in the door and the Styler is not properly closed.
If the Styler is not closed properly, the cold air from the outside meets the high-temperature steam inside the Styler. So, condensation may happen or the bottom of the inside of the Styler may get wet.
Before using the Styler, make sure the clothes are not stuck in the door.
The Styler is packed with thick clothes.
If the Styler is packed with bulky or thick clothes tightly, moisture may form inside the Styler because there isn’t enough air circulation.
It’s recommended to not overload the Styler.
Oil-based stains are in the inside of the Styler.
If there are oil-based stains from skin, cosmetics, etc. on the sides of the Styler during operation, moisture may remain as water vapor particles clump together in that area.
It’s not a product defect. Use the cleaning gloves included in the accessory package to wipe the inside of the Styler.

The outside temperature is low like the winder time.
In winter, depending on the temperature around the Styler, steam may condense to water due to the temperature difference, leaving moisture inside the Styler.
A small amount of water that’s not dried during operation is collected to the drip tray.
Styler uses steam and most of the moisture dries up during operation.
However, some moisture on the rubber gaskets of some doors is not dry because the dry air can’t reach the parts. As a result, the moisture flows into the drip tray at the bottom of the Styler.
Don’t worry because it’s normal. Discard the water in the drip tray and re-install it.
If the rubber gasket is damaged, a large amount of water may flow into the drip tray.
So, it needs to be replaced.
