As the dryer operates, does it leak around the drain hose or drain?
Causes and Symptoms
- The drain hose is twisted.
- The drain hose is not properly connected.
After the drying process, the water from the wet laundry flows out through the drain or drain hose.
At times, the drain hose may become twisted and not drain properly.
Also, if the drain or drain hose is connected incorrectly to the dryer, water can leak.
Try this
Is the drain hose pressed or kinked?
➔ Keep an adequate distance between the dryer and the wall, and then smooth out any kinks seen in the drain hose.
When installing a dryer in an enclosed area or close to a wall, be sure to allow enough space for the dryer to drain. Smooth out and keep the drain hose free of twists and kinks for a better connection to the drain.
Also, make sure that the height of the drain is no greater than 1m from the dryer’s base, and sort the drain hose so that it trails naturally onto a firm and even floor.
Is the connector on the back of the dryer not plugged in properly?
➔ Locate the connector to which the drain or drain hose is to be connected and make sure the rubber stopper is properly fitted.
Depending on the dryer model, the location of the connector connecting the drain pipe or drain hose will vary.
Refer to the instructions below to determine the location of the connector based on how draining is done, and push the rubber stopper all the way in to prevent leakage in the opposite direction.
