[LG Water Purifier] I see cracks on the exterior of the product

Repair

The lines on the exterior of the water purifier (metal models) are weld lines, not cracks.

Weld lines form in the process of injection molding, when separate flow fronts of resin, moving along a mold cavity, converge and rejoin.
The visible weld lines may make the material look fragile, but the integrity of the plastic material remains unaffected.
So, please use the product with confidence.

Resin material

Unlike the white model, the silver, rose, and charcoal models are made from eco-friendly resin materials.
Existing injection molded parts do not display weld lines due to being spray coated.
Products where the weld line is visible are made by using an eco-friendly injection molding technique where metal powders are added to the plastic.
This method reduces the emission of environmentally harmful substances (VOC) and CO2.
Consequently, weld lines can occur at the joint parts of the product exterior.
Furthermore, these lines might be more noticeable due to the inherent properties of the material.
