[LG Air Conditioner Louver] The louver (the outlet vent) does not open

Does the louver not open?

Causes and Symptoms

  • The outlet vent louver does not open.

Try this

Is the product used in the cooling mode?

➔ Wait until the product is preheated.

It is required to wait until the pipe is preheated when starting first the cooling mode.
Once preheat is completed, the outlet vent will normally open.

Check the area where the louver and the part operate for caught protective vinyl or foreign materials.

Operation may not be performed if foreign materials are caught.
Remove foreign materials, if any.

Did you reset the power cord?

➔ Unplug and plug the power cord, or trip and reset the circuit breaker of the air conditioner.

The issue may be temporary resulted from play or catching of the air conditioner louver.
Once the product is reset, the louver returns to its normal position.

※ If the issue persists after taking action, check the motor that opens the louver, and the part that makes connection between the motor and the louver.
