[LG Water Purifier] Hot water is not dispensed

Troubleshooting

The hot water button cannot be selected and hot water is not dispensed.

For safe use of the purifier, the hot water function on PuriCare water purifiers can be locked.

If the hot water function is locked, the hot water button does not light up.
Pressing the button will not select it; instead, it will just flicker.

In this case, long press the hot water button for 3 seconds to unlock it.

Press the hot water button for more than 3 seconds

Does the purifier delay the dispense of hot water?

→ After dispensing a lot of hot water, wait 10 to 15 minutes to use hot water again.

When more than 2 liters of hot water is dispensed, the water purifier stops heating the water to prevent internal components from overheating.
As a result, hot water will not be dispensed for a short period.
Please wait 10 to 15 minutes to use hot water again.

Waiting to use hot water after dispensing more than 2L of hot water

→ The hot water stream appearing thinner than cold water is due to the water purifier’s design.

The water purifier is designed to dispense a thinner stream of hot water to facilitate rapid heating of water.

The hot water stream is thinner than the cold water.

→ If the first cup or bowl of hot water is not hot but lukewarm, discard the first dispense and use from the second dispense.

Plumbed-in (tankless) water purifiers instantly purify and heat incoming water each time the [Dispense] button is pressed.
However, any residual water left in the water purifier’s internal passage may be dispensed together with the newly heated water, resulting in the first cup being lukewarm.
Please rest assured, this is normal operation of the water purifier.

Cold water remaining in the water pipe causes the first cup of water to be lukewarm.

For safe use of the water purifier, the hot water function can be locked.
Some models do not have the option of turning on/off cold water.
If the hot/cold function is off, no water will be dispensed even if you press the [Dispense] button.
Please make sure the hot/cold water function is on.
If your model doesn't have the feature to switch hot or cold water on/off, and yet no water is being dispensed, it could indicate a problem with the product.
In addition, if you use a tankless water purifier that immediately heats purified water, you may notice a slower dispensing speed or a delay in hot water supply.
Unlike tank water purifiers that continuously heat stored water, tankless versions only heat the required amount, thus saving electricity.
Tankless water purifiers rapidly heat up to 500㎖ of water per minute.
However, if too much hot water is dispensed at once, the heating will halt to prevent internal components from overheating.
Consequently, the hot water supply will pause momentarily. Please rest assured, this is normal operation of the tankless purifier.
