The Energy Saving Feature reduces power consumption by adjusting peak screen brightness

Energy Saving Step
- Auto : TV sensor detects the ambient lighting and automatically adjusts the screen brightness. Some models may not be supported.
- Minimum Brightness : You can set how dark the screen is when the Energy Saving
- Step is set to Auto.
- Off : Turns off the Energy Saving Step.
- Minimum / Medium / Maximum : Use the power saving feature according to Energy
- Energy Saving Step set on TV.
- The configurable items differ depending upon model.
- If you use Energy Saving Step function, brightness of your TV will be affected.
Auto Power Off
When the TV is on, it turns off automatically if you do not press any button within the set period of time.
Some models may not be supported.
Screen Off
- Screen is turned off and only sound is played.
- Press any button except the power and the volume buttons to turn the screen back on.
- It may not be supported, depending on the running app or function.
Additional Information
If the screen appears too dark without any changes made to settings such as brightness, sharpness, color, and color depth in the smart TV settings,
it is possible that the Energy Saving Steps mode, Eco picture mode or Automatic Power Saving mode has been enabled.
Cause and Symptoms
- The Energy Saving Steps Mode is enabled on your TV.
- Try changing the Picture Mode.

The screen will automatically darken or the screen protection function will be activated automatically in the following situations:
- When a still, white image appears on a large portion of the screen
- When a still image is displayed for a specific duration
- When a still image is continuously displayed on a particular area of the screen for a specific duration

Have you enabled the Energy Saving Steps Mode?
➔ Disable [Energy Saving Steps Mode] in the TV Settings menu.
The screen brightness can change depending on the active Energy Saving Steps Mode.
➔ Enabling [Energy Saving Steps Mode] in [2022 WebOS22] and [2021 WebOS 6.0]
1. Turn on the TV and press the [Settings] button on your TV remote.
Select [All Settings] in the [Settings] menu.
2. Select [Support] and then [OLED Care].
3. Select [Device Self Care].
4. Select [Energy Saving Steps].
5. Select [Energy Saving Steps Stage] and set [Maximum] to [Off].

Does the screen remain dimmed even after disabling the Energy Saving Steps Mode?
➔ Select [Standard Picture] for [Picture Mode] in the TV Settings mode.
The brightness of the screen varies depending on the mode selected.

How to change the brightness on Advanced Custom Settings

Press the
button on the remote and select [All Settings] → [Picture] → [Advanced Custom Settings] → [Brightness] →
[OLED Pixel Brightness].
※ You can’t change the brightness if the setting is on [Auto Power Saving] Mode.
1. Turn on the TV and press the [Settings] button on the remote control.
From [Settings], select [All Settings].
2. Select [Picture] → [Advanced Settings].
3. Select [Brightness].
4. Select [OLED Pixel Brightness].
5. Use the remote control to adjust the brightness. The closer it is to 100, the brighter the Picture.

Press the
button on the remote control and select [All Settings] → [Picture] → [Picture Mode Setting]
1. Turn on the TV and press the [Settings] button on the remote control.
From [Settings], select [All Settings].
2. From [Picture], select [Picture Mode Settings].
3. You can adjust the brightness separately in [Picture Mode Setting].
※ It is necessary to set the desired picture mode every time there is a change in the input mode, as the picture mode settings (brightness/quality) may differ depending on the Picture input (digital broadcasting, HDMI, etc.).
