If you hear a voice describing characters’ actions or scenes while watching TV, the [Video Description] feature designed for the visually impaired is enabled.
[Video Description] works only for programs or channels where the broadcaster supports it.
You can easily turn off [Video Description] in the TV settings. If you still hear the narration after turning off [Video Description] on the TV, check your set-top box settings as well.
Why is my TV describing what’s happening on screen?
- The [Video Description] feature, designed to assist the visually impaired by reading on-screen content aloud, is currently enabled.
- The settings may have been changed accidentally while using the remote control.
- The feature may be enabled on your connected set-top box instead of the TV itself.

Why Do I Still Hear Video Description After Turning It Off?
If you turned off [Video Description] on the TV but you still hear audio descriptions, the issue likely stems from your set-top box settings, not the TV.
Check and adjust the settings on the set-top box using your set-top box remote control.
For detailed instructions on how to change these settings, contact your service provider.
