Use this feature to lock age-restricted channels, block paid content and mature apps, and restrict access to external input devices.
How to Set Up and Apply Locks
Step 1. Enable or Disable the Lock Feature
On your TV remote, press the [Settings] (gear icon) or [Mute] button three times in a row.
- 2026 and Later TVs (webOS 26 or Later): Press the Settings button on your remote, select All Settings, General, Usage Care, Family Care, and Locks Control, then choose On or Off.
- 2021 to 2025 TVs (webOS 6.0 to 23): Press the Settings button on your remote, select All Settings, General, System, Safety, and Enable the Function, then choose On or Off.
- 2020 and Earlier TVs (webOS 5.0 or Earlier): Press the Settings button on your remote, select All Settings and Safety, then choose On or Off.
Step 2. Lock or Unlock Channels
Select Channel Locks from the menu, then choose the channels you want to lock or unlock from the list.
Step 3. Lock Apps
Select App Locks from the menu, then choose the apps you want to lock.
Step 4. Lock External Inputs
Select Input Locks from the menu, then choose the external inputs you want to restrict.
