[LG Dryer Error Code][Wash Tower] OE error appears.

Troubleshooting

Let's find out more.

A dryer drains the water generated during drying through a drain hose, but some water remains inside the product. In cold winter weather, if this residual water freezes, the drain pump may not operate, causing an “OE” or “drn” error.

Try this.

Check the drain hose for freezing.

→ Wrap the frozen part of the drain hose with a towel soaked in warm water for about 10 minutes to thaw it.

There are two ways to thaw ice inside the product.

→ Thawing the product automatically

1. To thaw the product, turn off the power and remove all laundry from the drum.

2. Turn on the power and press and hold the [Steam] and [Tub Clean] buttons for 3 seconds.
If 3:00 appears on the display, the defrost mode is activated.

3. Press the [Start] button to begin the defrost mode.

4. The defrost mode displays a time of 3 hours, but if defrosting is completed earlier, an alarm will sound and the defrost mode will end automatically.
Use the product after the mode ends.

→ Thawing the product by pouring hot water inside

1. To thaw the product, turn off the power and remove all laundry from the drum.

2. Remove both the inner and outer filters, clean them thoroughly, and then insert the outer filter into the inlet.

3. Wear rubber gloves to prevent burns and pour 1.5L of 60°C (140°F) warm water into the filter inlet.

Caution!

Pouring excessively hot water may cause burns or product damage.
Pouring too much water or pouring it too quickly may cause leakage from the front of the product.

4. Completely reinsert the inner filter.

5. Turn on the power, run the dryer for 30 seconds, and then wait 30 minutes for the hot water to melt the ice inside.

6. After 30 minutes, press the Power button and then the Start/Pause button to restart the product.
If the “OE” or “drn” error does not occur within 10 minutes of operation, the troubleshooting is complete, and you can use the product.

Wait! Here are more tips.
Use a chair to reach the filter inlet when pouring water. Be careful not to fall off the chair.
Turn the power off and on 3-5 times, running the dryer for 10 minutes each time, until the “OE” or “drn” error disappears.
