The washing machine door remains locked during washing to prevent injury from the spinning drum.
Even if operation is paused, the door will remain locked as long as water is present in the drum.
Additionally, the door will stay locked in the event of a power outage or if the power cord is disconnected during
washing.

Is the washer powered off and is its door locked?
➔ Connect the power cord and turn on the washing machine.
If the door remains locked after turning the machine on, it may be due to the drum still being too hot from a
high-temperature cycle.
The door can be opened once the drum cools down and it is safe to use. Please wait a moment for the temperature to
decrease.
Is the washing machine operating?
➔ You can open the door after pausing the operation of the washing machine and hearing the clicking sound of door lock being unlocked.
The door won’t open during operation of the washing machine for safety.
Open the door after pressing the Pause button or the Add Item button to pause the washing machine.
Is there water inside the washing machine?
➔ The door can be opened after water inside the tub has been drained.
The door does not open if water is present inside the tub.
Press [Cancel] to stop the operation and press [Spin Only] of [Download Cycle] to drain water inside the tub.
1. Press [Pause].
2. Press [Cancel].
3. When [Do you wish to cancel washing?] is displayed, press [Yes].
4. Drag the screen to the left to move to [Download Cycle].
5. Press [Spin Only].
6. Press the [Start] button.
7. When the door lock is unlocked after the spin cycle ends, remove the laundry.
