Water vapor is floating in the air during the summer when the indoor humidity is high.<br>
When the refrigerator door is open and closed, the moisture meets the cold air and condenses on the door gasket.<br>
It is the same phenomenon as condensation forming on a cold water bottle just taken out of a refrigerator.<br>
This is a normal phenomenon occurring in summer when the indoor humidity is high. Wipe off the condensation from the refrigerator surface of the door gasket with a dry towel.

<h2 class="tit">Causes and Symptoms</h2>

<li>The indoor humidity is high because it is the rainy season.</li>

<li>The refrigerator door was not closed properly.</li>

<li>The door gasket has a foreign substance on it so it won't attach to the refrigerator body properly.</li>

<h3 class="sub-tit">Is your refrigerator located where the humidity is high or near a window?</h3>
<p class="info-desc">➔ It is recommended that you install a refrigerator in a less humid and well-ventilated location where there is a 5℃ to 43℃ ambient temperature.</p><p>
If your refrigerator is installed next to a balcony or window where outside humid air can easily get in, condensation may form on the door gasket.<br>
If this happens, wipe off the condensation with a dry towel.

<p class="info-desc">➔ Check the following details, and close the refrigerator door completely.</p><p>
If the refrigerator door is not closed tightly, cold air escapes and meets humid air, generating condensation on the door gasket.<br>
If a drawer or shelf has not been assembled back into its correct place after refrigerator cleaning, pull it out and insert it again correctly.<br>
If you have placed too much food in the compartment, take some of the food out.<br>
If there is a cover on top of the refrigerator or a plastic bag in the compartment in the door of the refrigerator, remove it so it is not caught in the refrigerator door.<br>
If the door gasket becomes contaminated and sticky, clean it frequently.

<h3 class="sub-tit">Is the door gasket stained with a foreign object so that it doesn't adhere well to the refrigerator door and the cold air escapes?</h3>

If the door gasket has a hardened foreign object stuck to it, the door gasket may fall out of its groove and a gap may be formed when opening and closing the door.<br>
Wipe the door gasket with a hot steamed towel and clean it using a toothbrush or sponge with toothpaste.<br>
As the moisture remaining after cleaning may cause condensation to form again, wipe off any remaining moisture with a dry towel one more time.
