[LG Monitor] I am using a UHD monitor but when I connect USB-C or Dp(display port), the max resolution is not supported

Causes and Symptoms

  • I am using a UHD monitor but when I connect USB-C or DP(display port), the max resolution is not supported.

You have to make sure that your PC graphics card’s display port or USB-C output condition meets the 4K(3840x2160＠60Hz) spec of your monitor. You have to activate the DisplayPort 1.2 menu before you can use 4K(3840x2160＠60Hz).

Try this

Go to Monitor Setting Menu → [Settings] → [DisplayPort 1.2] → [Enable]

Go to Monitor Setting Menu → Settings → DisplayPort 1.2 → Enable

Reset the monitor settings.
When resetting the monitor, the default status means DisplayPort 1.2 is activated.
※ When resetting the monitor, all the menus will be reset, so your consent is required.
