[LG monitor] The smartphone cannot be charged

Some monitor models do not support the USB PD, so check if the USB-PD is supported.

Causes and symptoms

• The smartphone cannot be charged through the monitor and the USB-C cable.
• The smartphone cannot be quick charged.
  If the smartphone cannot be charged, check the USB-C cable connecting the monitor and the smartphone.

Check if the monitor supports the USB PD (Power Delivery).

Is smartphone quick charging not possible when you turn on USB quick charge on the monitor?

In case of USB Quick charging, the quick charging mode varies by smartphone and PAD manufacturer.
In the case of the 34UC79G model, only products that meet the BC1.2 standards enable quick charging.

- Old and low-price models: Short Mode
- SS Galaxy Tab Model: 1.2V Mode
- Android and most models: BC (battery) 1.2
