[LG Water Purifier] How to replace the filter

Troubleshooting

For hygienic use of the water purifier, the filters must be periodically replaced.
If the filters are not changed, the water quality of the water purifier may deteriorate.

Try this

1. Prepare the filter and service kit you received.
The filters should be replaced in accordance with their individual replacement cycles, either every 6 or 12 months.

When pulling out the drip tray, do not lift or lower it.

3. Hold the tap with your hand and turn it all the way left or right.

4. While holding the product with one hand, hold the bottom of the filter cover with the other hand and pull out the cover.

6. Hold the A1 filter(9 heavy metal removal) with your hand, lift it up by 90 degrees and turn it counterclockwise to separate it.
Separate the B filter(virus removal) in the same way as the A filter.
The A1 filter (9 heavy metal removal) needs to be replaced once every 6 months and the B filter (virus removal) once every 12 months.

Hold the A1 filter (9 heavy metal removal) with your hand, lift it 90 degrees, and turn it counterclockwise to separate it.

7. Remove the cap of the new A1 filter. Hold the filter in such a way that the printing on the filter is facing left.
Then insert it into the part marked “A” and turn it clockwise.
Insert the B filter in the same way as the A filter.
The amount of water dispensed may be reduced if the filters are not inserted in the correct order.
Leakage may occur if the filters are not securely connected during replacement.

8. Press the front of the filters with both hands.
If the filters are not pushed in properly, the filter cover will not close securely, which could prevent the product from operating.

9. Remove the dry cleaning cloth underneath the water purifier and wipe off residual water near the filter.

Wipe off any remaining water around the filter.

10. Attach the filter cover back on to the product.
When the cover is properly attached, the filter will be auto cleaned for about 7 minutes.

Note!
You cannot use other functions while the filter is being cleaned.
Filter cleaning process aims to remove fine dusts and active carbon powder that may have been left from the manufacturing process.

11. Insert the drip tray into the filter cover groove. Then return the water tap to its original position.

12. Once filter washing is completed, hold the cold button for more than 3 seconds to reset the filter replacement indicator.

① To cancel the filter cleaning process, long press the [Dispense] button for 3 seconds.
If a new filter was inserted, do not cancel the filter cleaning process.
② When replacing the filter, do not exert excessive force as it may result in damage.
③ The estimated replacement cycle may vary depending on the feed water quality and usage amount.
The replacement cycle of the filter is based on the assumption that 10L is used per day by a family of four.
The lifespan of the filter may vary depending on the water quality, water pressure, time of the year and region of residence.
