What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't get my room cold I bought this unit 3 years ago I only use it during the summer and it's only purpose is to cool my room. My room is only 15x14 I leave it on all day and the lowest the temperature will get is 81° I've cleaned the filters I've done everything. Not once in the past 3 years has it cooled my room down below 79° . I've read reviews and everyone talks hear about this product but mine hasn't done it's job the whole time I've had it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well at keeping TV room cool. we bought this to cool the TV room, our house was built in 1909 and as you can imagine it has poor air circulation. we put a swamp cooler in the back which is fine fro the bedrooms, but useless up in front. so we tried this and it works well, but is noisey,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great unit I've had my unit 3yrs and love it. It still blows cold air and works very well. Only complaint is it would be better if the vent blowing the air did more than move slightly up and down in direction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it is says keeps you cool. I bought my unit from Walmart last year before the summer and use it to keep my two car garage turned Man Cave study area for school and it works like a champ. I live in Las Vegas and the summer heat on top of it being in a closed garage it gets past hot but It is one of the best investments I have. Keeps it in the 70 degree range when its in the 100's outside. Thanks LG for allowing me to stay in my zone when its hot outside and noisy inside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great as a back up/or room cooler we purchased this product to take some of the load off our central air conditioner, it has done a good job keeping our high cathedral ceiling in our great room temperature down, we have had the unit for 3 to 4 yrs. and use it all summer in Florida

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely awesome, well done LG!!! Had for 2 years now in Florida, freezes ya out , easy to move around, makes no water mess (will have water in so be careful moving) no bucket to empty, when I moved I took it to my outside office (no ac) where it got to 115 as its an automotive shop and kept me bout 80 on 100 degree day in a huge warehouse setting, I periodically test the air temp and it's between 26 and 31 degrees, even when sitting in 115 degrees! great job LG

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product cools the room, but is loud. I bought this air-conditioner for my home office located in our bonus room, above the garage. It does the job of cooling down the room just fine, and that's in above 100˚ weather. I agree with other reviewers, it is loud. I tend to turn it off when I'm on the phone. I have not used the dehumidifier, since we live in a dry desert region. Overall, not a bad purchase, but I would look for a quieter unit next time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unacceptable A/C So I bought the unit from Home Depot, back in May 2013, and as of July 2014, the unit starts to fail. When the room temperature gets hot, above 90 degrees, according to the sensor on the unit, but in reality the temperature of the room I'm using the unit indicated about 87-89 degrees, the "AC" portion of the unit fails. In other words, when I turn on the unit, there was cool air blowing out of the vent, for about 3 mins, some quick noises inside the unit (maybe the condenser) started to sound, and hot/warm air starts to blow from the vent, instead of the cool air. Essentially, this AC unit fails. This has happened twice, that I'm aware of, once in July 2014 and another time in Sept 2014. I'm located in San Diego, CA. Overall, the unit is powerful, blowing cool air, but too expensive and doesn't work as expected. I do not recommend this unit at all.

How do you empty tank

Asked by: Jackie 56
The instructions for emptying the tank on the LG 9,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with remote, Model # LP0910WNR are outlined in detail on page 19 of your owner's manual for the unit. "If the inside water is full , the display panel will display “FL”, and the compressor will stop running. Please turn the machine off and move the machine to the place where you can drain the water, then unplug the water-draining hole. After drainage, you can power it on and the machine will run again. Unplug the air conditioner, disconnect the exhaust hose from the back, and move the air conditioner to a suitable drain location or outdoors. You may also place a pan under the drain that will hold up to 1 quart of water. When the internal water collection tank is full, the air conditioner will turn off until the tank is emptied. Remove the drain cap from the drain outlet. Once the water collection tank is drained, reinstall the drain cap, making sure it is on securely. Place the air conditioner in the desired location, reconnect the exhaust hose, and plug in the air conditioner"...^IFV

can i buy a new exhaust hose and ends? if so where?

I have a LP0910wnr model. the hose got cracked and the whole thing including the ends got thrown out. Unit still works but have no way to vent out the window.
Asked by: starsky
Have you tried a local, large hardware store? You can use dryer vent tubing and attach it from machine to window. It comes in various sizes, so take your tubing in with you. This is what we did, and you can also purchase it direct from LG, I believe. With having no ends, however, you might need to order it from LG. Also, you can Google the A/C Model number, and add "connector hose with attachment parts". You will eventually find what you need...its out there, because I have seen it.

Air Compressor won't continuously run

I have the remote and have pressed continuously on the remote. I hear the ping sound like it does for everything. The temp says 92 which is the current room temperature and the unit is set to 70 degrees. The air compressor will only run for 30 seconds and then shut off. A few minutes later it will come back on. How do i make the compressor run until the temperature that i desire is set?
Asked by: rdbolden
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. The symptoms described suggest that the unit is not sized properly for the room in which it has been installed. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for additional troubleshooting.

I have an app on my phone that will act as a remote. I am not sure if it can be programmed without using the original to do it.

water tank collection

It sounds implied that there is more than one water collection tank. An internal one vs what else? Also, one answer states to install unit on a 'tilt' for water to come out of the lower black water drainage pipe. I didn't see that in the User Manual. Clarify please. I have to roll it out and hold it at an angle to drain since nothing comes out of the lower drainage port even outside at a tilt.
Asked by: Kala
If you live in a dry climate you probably really don't need to worry about it. I've only had to drain mine once in 3 years, I live in Tucson. If it does collect too much water it will automatically shut off.
