What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing portable air conditioner I bought this to use in a hot bedroom I was painting in August. It kept me very cool as I worked. I am looking forward to using it next summer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I bought this model in May of 2013 and gets used very little. Now the compressor operates for about 5 minutes and then blows room air around. Start-ups in about 15 minutes do the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enjoying a cooler house! We live in Western Washington State, where very few houses have air conditioning... it's rarely needed, but this summer has been much warmer than in the past! We purchased our LG portable air conditioning unit on the spur of the moment and have been thoroughly enjoying a much cooler living space with it. The unit was easy to install, and came with everything needed. When on, it cools the air in our open-concept living/dining/kitchen area quickly and efficiently. We are pleased with its' portability and how easy it will be to pack it up to store for the cooler months. The only complaint we have with the unit is that the fan is very noisy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lot of cool for not so much cold cash. Our central unit was going to cost more to repair than I paid for three portable units. As it turned out two units would probably have been sufficient, but it is nice to have the spare when needed. We can put the cool where we want it instead of a central unit's putting it in places we don't need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "My Little Air Cooling Robot" I love this little modern cooling machine on wheels!! It is so much more appealing to look at than those metal box hunks of junk I use to stick in the window!! Window units are so dangerous when you live high up in an apartment building. Being able to roll my ac around indoors makes my life and sleep time so much more relaxing and comfortable!!! I totally recommend this indoor aerodynamic remote control cooling machine to everyone!!!

My air conditioner won't come on and says FL how do I drain it and reset the settings ?

Asked by: Sabririos
When the internal water collection tank is full, the LED display will show FL and the air conditioner will turn off until the tank is emptied. Unplug the air conditioner, disconnect the exhaust hose from the back, and move the air conditioner to a suitable drain location or outdoors. You may also place a pan under the drain that will hold up to 2 pints of water. Remove the drain cap from the drain outlet. Once the water collection tank is drained, reinstall the drain cap, making sure it is on securely. Place the air conditioner in the desired location, reconnect the exhaust hose, and plug in the air conditioner.

My A/C will not come on at all, I've checked the outlet and the circuit panel. I have also pressed the reset button. The power went out and when the power come back on the unit was working fine and then it just cutoff. It's a lg 10,000 btu portable unit

Asked by: Xror
We regret to read that your LG 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with remote, Model # LP1013WNR will not turn on at all. It appears that you have checked all the possible causes for it not turning on and if you've checked that the outlet itself is still functioning by plugging something else into it, the only other thing you will need to check is the reset and test buttons on the integrated circuit breaker that is featured on the power cord of the unit. If pressing the TEST button does not cause the circuit breaker to trip, or if the RESET button will not stay engaged, then you will need to unplug the unit and have the unit checked by an Authorized LG Service Technician, the unit will need a repair service. My unit suddenly started squealing last night when I switched it back from fan mode to cool mode before bed and has done that since. It's just a few months old and has never done this. What would cause that?

Asked by: Jillkris
We regret to hear that your LG 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with remote, Model # LP1013WNR is making squealing sounds and apologize for any inconveniences. If the noise is only occuring during operation, it could be the fan. There is a lot of wetness involved with air conditioners and if the ball bearings in the fan are dirty or rusted, that may cause squealing sounds. There are other causes for the squealing but the air conditioner should be inspected to determine what is causing the squealing...^IFV

Why does my LG LP1013WNR not cool continuously

I have the temp on the unit set to 74F with the room at 83F and the unit will not run continuously. The compressor engages for 1 minute and disengages for 3 minutes and does not cool the room. I have looked at most of the help on the net with no luck. I have cleaned the filters and generally inspected the unit for problems. Please advise.

Hi what does it mean when my unit displays code 4 and 5 or 45?

Asked by: Shaq
We regret to read that your LG 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with remote, Model # LP1013WNR is displaying error code '45' The code indicates an outdoor unit coil sensor fault. If you are adept with electronics, you can disconnect the sensor from the PCB and measure the resistance. It should read 10 kΩ at 10°C and 4 kΩ at 30°C. If it's okay replace the PCB, if not. replace the sensor, otherwise you'll need a repair service...^IFV
