What People Are Saying

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 103 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice but panel goes bad fast Buy the warranty!! I read reviews prior to buying, most liked the range, as we do, but as previous reviews stated the electronic panel buttons are hard to push and the panel breaks. Exactly 1 year of use and the panel does not work, and yes, the buttons are hard to push. We now have to go almost 6 weeks without a stove/range waiting for the part. Just glad we bought the warranty!!!!! I suggest that if you buy this product get the longest warrant available and have a alternate cooking device. July 27, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Enjoying Cooking More with my LG I really love my new range, no knobs to clean around. Cooks so much quicker. I like the bread proofer, the warming burner. It heats up fast.I probably will buy another one for our Florida house. July 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great appliance Everything works as advertised. We enjoy all the features. It heats so fast it took a while to get used to it - overcooked a couple things in the process July 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Overall Satisfaction Range installed today.....so far I love how it looks in my kitchen.....heated quickly and used the warming element right off......Think I'm going to enjoy my new toy. May 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by performance is awesome Always have been a lg customer very impressed with the easy cleaning aspect of the stove itself. Would highly recommend tuis product to all of my family and friends. April 19, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by A few problems I find the buttons to turn on the burners are harder to push than they should be. It is uncomfortable to need to push as hard as I have to in order to turn on the burners. Also the heat goes off and on and I need to keep changing the temperature. One minute it is boiling and the next simmering making it impossible to cook certain things properly. April 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The quality is excellent This is one of LG appliances that we recently bought. We also bought a washer and dryer, and also a dishwasher. We also already had a LG tv set. We are sold on LG products. We highly recommend them. March 24, 2014

Why does LG advertise this rack with the range and not include it? Very frustrating. Also I found that my range did not come wth a broiler pan either. I love LG and this is the second complete set of LG appliances I have bought in 4 years (new home) and I was disappointed that my new range did not come with a broiler pan either. The last one a couple years ago did.

We regret your dissatisfaction with the accessories of this range. The specifications sheet provided with this unit, as well as the included accessories section of the owner’s manual, both show that this unit only comes with 2 Standard Baking Racks.

Use of Pressure Cooker on smoothtop surface

Does LG recommend the use of a pressure cooker on a smoothtop cooking surface and is the glasstop rated to withstand the heat and/or weight. The range is a electric and the pressure cooker manufacturer indicates the pressure cooker is designed to be used on a smoothtop cooking surface.

Answer:
Page 20 of the owner’s manual has the following to say about Pressure Cookers / Canners. Be sure that the canner is centered over the surface unit and flat on the bottom. The base must not be more than 1” larger than the element. Use of water bath canners with rippled bottoms may extend the time required to bring the water to a boil and cooktops may be damaged. Some canners are designed with smaller bases for use on smooth top surfaces. Use the high heat setting only until the water comes to a boil or pressure is reached in the canner. Reduce to the lowest heat setting that maintains the boil or pressure. If the heat is not turned down, the cooktop may be damaged.

These two objects are not items to be compared. The Convection Fan is the device by which the True Convection mode is made possible. Convection is a cooking process accomplished by circulating heat throughout the oven cavity, to provide more even cooking. This is performed BY the Convection Fan.

Is the electric burner clicking every 10 seconds normal when in use?

Also does the convection fan stop and start all the time while the oven is convection baking?

Answer:
The oven fan will run during convection cooking. The fan will stop when the door is open, but the heat will not turn off. In some cases, the fan may shut off during a convection cycle. It is not uncommon for the burners to click, but it would not seem that this should occur that frequently.
