What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great range This is a very attractive range, that functions very well. I have to learn to use the convection feature, yet, but I am completely satisfied with everything else, so I'm sure I will love it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slow This range is slow. The cook tops are slow to heat up and the burner sizes just don't seem quite right. Also, the oven is slow to preheat. Not sure about consistency of cooking temp in oven as it is summer and we haven't been using it. I read a lot of complaints about the fan and loudness. That was not true with ours. The complaint about very quiet timer beeper - that is true. Way too quiet for another room.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice looking/ too loud wanted a flat top electric. should of paid a little more attention. Better ones out there. this one works but is very noisy. and wish it had the three elements on the top.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I sense problems.. I purchased this stove because it was a nice-looking stove matching my fridge, I wish I had listened to the reviews before purchasing my stove because today I cooked my first oven-meal and beside finding annoying the air blowing on your face everytime you open the oven and the amount of noise produced by the oven fan even when the door is closed, I still was positive about it. But then when I finished my baking and turned off the oven, the "cooling message" and "noise" stayed for 2 hours. It looks like the sensor is damage. Very sad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new Range! Love this range. Cooks quickly and the convection is great! Kind of high priced, but so pretty. Love the blue interior of the oven! Just wish the oven vented from the back instead of the front of the range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed cook top. The burners are well laid out, and heat up fast and heat evenly. Very easy to control the heat level. Would have liked this model to include a broiler pan.

Is there a way to disable the noisy fan that blows when the oven is used?

Slide in range model number LSE3090ST: The noisy oven fan is not a good idea. Had we known about it we would not have bought this range. We like everything else about the stove, but would love to have a NEW QUITE RANGE.
Asked by: Poppo
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this range. While it is normal for the fan to be audible, it should not be excessively loud. If it seems too loud, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at

I'm going to purchase an electric glass top stove and will be pressure canning. I have heard that this May be a problem with this stove

Asked by: Tooth
Hello Tooth. Your interest in the LG Slide-In Range with Large Capacity Oven and EvenJet™ Convection, Model # LSE3090ST is appreciated. Canning should not be an issue with this unit. The Home Canning Tips section in the owner's manual recommends that you be sure that the canner is centered over the surface unit and flat on the bottom. The base must not be 1" larger than the element. Use of water bath canners with rippled bottoms may extend the time required to bring the water to a boil and cooktops may be damaged. It also recommends that you use the high heat setting only until the water comes to a boil or pressure is reached in the canner. If the heat is not turned down, the cooktop may be damaged...^IFV

Why didn't my range come with a meat probe?

The webpage indicates the model I purchased has a meat probe. Mine didn't come with one, nor a button on the range labeled "probe". It was the one feature I purchased the range for.
Asked by: HarleyDavidson
Ours did not either. LG doesn't seem to be helpful with the pieces missing from their appliances that are listed to be included. Disappointing, right!

How does your range fit a countertop?

We are considering buying your range, but other makers' slide-in ranges have a flange or overhang that goes on top of the adjoining countertop to give a built-in look. Your range has smooth sides, just like a non-slide-in. It looks like there will be a gap between the sides of the range and the countertop, into which food will fall. Are there accessory pieces that overhang the countertop on either side?
Asked by: lgcust2000
There aren't accessories. It also doesn't come with the rear filler piece that is to be included. There is a gap on the sides. It doesn't overlap. We ended up making our own since we had a very close fit with 'L" pieces of aluminum & flat pieces we got at Home Depot. Not sure if this might help.

Does top of range fit over the countertop

I currently have a slide-in and it has an overlapping "lip" around the top of the range, so that it sits on top of the counter (in other words there is no gap of space between the range top and the counter top). In the picture, it looks like there is no overlapping piece on this LG range. Does it have the overlapping edges or not? Thank you.
Asked by: PrinD
No lip around the top.

If this slide in does not have an overlapping rim how do I tell what my opening specifications need to be in my counter top?

I am a NKBA certified kitchen designer and I have a client who is looking to purchase this range. With out a clear set of dimension specifications, i.e. "cut sheets", to confirm I have correct opening width and depth, I will not recommend this unit as I cannot guaranty a good fit with cabinets, counter tops and back splash clearances. Asked by: RWDesign

where is the side fillers to prevent food from getting stuck on sides? Horrible even flush with stuck you need a tiny bit of spacing there should be a strip that overlaps the counter

This is to replace a 20 year old DROP IN electric range. What modifications do I need to make to accommodate this new range?
