What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Every expectation has been met. I purchased this stove several weeks ago. We had cooked on gas for years and had moved into a condominium in which case was not available. I was frustrated with the traditional electric cooktop. I had a high-quality range in the past. I am thrilled with every aspect of how this range works and how solid it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and efficient. After 2 months, the Induction Range is simply great. The ovens accuracy was spot on. One should know that Induction makes some noise, to many this is a distraction. As for myself it's a reminder the oven is on or somethings on the cooktop. The convection oven cones up to temp surprisingly quickly. Baking is even. The sliding oven tray was a nice feature. The cooktop takes a little getting used to some pots and pans have their own sweet spot. Cleans up nicely, especially since it doesn't burn up dribbles like a standard glasstop. Only one complaint. I am rather tall and the front panel display is nice but it would have been much better if the switches especially the + and - keys. There is a learning curve regarding all the features of the convection oven, but once gained it makes cooking easier and my life simplier. The LG app is a plus sending notifications to my phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of all features When designing new kitchen island I was reluctant to putting stove/oven in Center. However, when I learned about induction and how it works I was put at ease. The surface cannot work without a magnetic metal pot. So even if stove knob is turned on there is no heat. This was a concern because of young children in Home. Speaking of knobs I love turning to setting versus hitting buttons. It also looks like a professional stove. The safety/ease of pulling out the oven racks is a good thing. The buzzers charm and the interior color wows. If you like to cook and expect a well thought out machine this is worth he extra cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome This range is awesome. When you use the induction range the heat comes on fast. When you turn it off it’s off. Not like an electric range. The pull out shelf in the oven is wonderful. I highly recommend this range. It’s so much better than an electric range.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good! I've been using my new range for about a month now, and overall I am quite happy with it. This is my first induction range, and so there has been a bit of an adjustment there. The main source of dissatisfaction, for me, is having to match the size of the pan to the size of the element -- this has required a certain amount of juggling, since sometimes you want to use two medium-sized or two very large pans at the same time, or you don't want to have to use the back burners just because you're using a small pot. I also haven't found the warming element to be especially useful, or the best use of space, but part of that may just be that the directions aren't all that clear about how/why to use it. I have also been frustrated by the temperature control a few times, finding that the lower setting was too cool, but the next setting up is too hot (for instance, when making crepes, they either take forever to cook, or turn brown within 30 seconds). I will say this, though: the stove cranks out some serious heat -- enough that it actually caused the oil in my wok to spontaneously ignite when I left it unattended for a few seconds! Definitely my fault, not the stove's, but useful information to have... As for the oven, it generally seems to work very well, although it does take a VERY long time to preheat to higher temperatures, especially if you make the mistake of opening the door midway through (you have to really give it some time to get up to 500). I haven't yet used any of the self-cleaning functions, so can't speak to those. I did use the programmable probe on a roast last week, and was pleased with how it worked (although you still have to double check with a thermometer, since different parts of the roast cook at different rates). A cool feature to have, though. As other people have mentioned, the timer is a pain in the neck to set -- it moves in 10 minute increments, and it's very hard to control the speed at which the numbers change. But with a light touch and a lot of repetitive touches that one can be overcome. On the whole, the stove is attractive, fairly straightforward to use, the surface is easy to clean, and it does the job well. One other thing: I chose this model because it was one of only two that uses knobs to control the temperature instead of a touch panel (I had heard from people who found touch panels to be temperamental, especially when they got greasy). I have been very happy with this control system, and I appreciate the fact that there's a light-up indicator that tells you when the heating element is on, since I'm used to having a visible flame.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NOISE NOISE NOISE Bought this at the end of 2017 and now I'm just using it since I've been away. Since you can't try this out at the stores I never knew how noisy the fan was and how long it stayed on afterwords. This is an open concept condo and I can't even think with this thing going nor can I have guests for dinner since it's so loud it disturbs us while trying to talk. I will replace with a different brand that I know has a better fan as soon as I can.

2 questions about the elements.  1: What is the maximum time you can run the boost function? 2: what percentage of the element has to be covered for the pan to be detected by the element?  Some mfrs say it has to be within 0.5", others 1.0".

Asked by: Katy83
The four cooking elements on this LG 6.3 cu. ft. Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST require a minimum pan size to be used effectively. The inner ring of each cooking element is a guide to the minimum pan size. The bottom of your pans must fully cover the inner ring for proper cooking to occur and the pan must make full contact with the glass surface without the bottom of the pan touching the metal cooktop rim. The Boost mode stays in operation for up to 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the cooking element automatically returns to the HI setting...^IFV

How noisy is the fan? I don't mean a humming or slight noise , how are the fans? thanks

Asked by: Johnny2
Hi Johnny2. Typically, the sound level for electronic products is expressed in decibels since the preception of how loud or how quiet a product is very subjective and what one person finds to be loud may not be as loud to another person. Regrettably, we do not have a decibel rating for the sound level for the fan in the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST that you can use to assess the loudness or how quiet the fan in this range oven will be based on other common sounds that you are familiar with...^IFV

How to open the door of the lower grill

Asked by: Noug
Hello Noug, we are unsure if we understand your question. This is a single oven range with a warming drawer at the bottom. You have 1 door that pulls down to access the oven portion and 1 drawer that pulls outs. If you have any other questions, please give us a call at 1-800-243-0000, or drop us a line on Twitter at @LGUSSupport or on Facebook at @LGUSSupport when you are with the unit. ^AC
