What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features Bought this about 3 weeks ago. It is very quiet & has some great features that I’m still figuring out. Love the multiple racks & how they adjust. One minor flaw is the silverware holder, not a big fan of the design. But overall super happy with this purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible unit - wish I could give it 0 stars This dishwasher is the worst I have ever had. The best advice customer service had was to use a rinse aid. Not helpful to get the dishes clean, only to aid in the drying process. I have very soft water, so minerals are not a problem. The dishes feel dirty even when they look clean. The tines don't stay up on the bottom rack, so the plates fall on each other every time the bottom rack comes off the track, which is often. The top rack for silverware doesn't even get close to clean.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good and Bad Points I purchased this dishwasher based on good product reviews. At first I fell in love with it in the store. It seemed to have everything I wanted and a little extra. The love affair is over. The rack system on the bottom is weak. In the beginning, it was fine. Now it seems like everything is loose which makes the rack (tines) collapse and whatever dishes are loaded, fall over. It doesn't appear to be wearing well at all. Additionally, the soap dispenser cover takes a few times to snap closed. The wash performance is good. Dishes come clean, but you need to use a rinse aid to help with the drying process. It would also be nice if the pad was illuminated when the power is on, to better read the cycles. If you can put up with the racks, it's not a terrible dishwasher. I have an LG range and refrigerator and I absolutely LOVE them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good deal I purchased the dishwasher about a month ago and I'm happy with that deal. The dishwasher is super quiet, I hardly can hear it working, the dishes are coming up clean. The only concern I have, is that after the cleaning cycle the dishes in the upper rack are not completely dry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Extreamly quiet! We bought this a year ago but just hooked it up in our FL home. It is soooo quiet. Love it. I have noticed that even though I press the extra dry feature our glasses/cups are still wet on top. Looked up on line and they recommended we add a drying agent like Finish. Will see if that helps. Very satisfied with this dishwasher.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great dishwasher This dishwasher does and EXCELLENT job cleaning dishes. I did not give it 5-stars because of several items. The wire racks are difficult to work with when placing heavy plates (they fall). The lid covering the dishwasher fluid is difficult to close (takes several tries). It has many options for washing, which is great. But like any other Cadillac, you don't have to use all the features. However, it is worth reading the manual to use it more efficiently.

How do I do only a half load wash on the ldf7774bb? I've tried everything. I downloaded the manual also which wasn't much help. I chose normal cycle then hit the half load button. That lights the sanitize light and/or extra rinse. Not 1/2 load light

Asked by: Kschro
Hello, you should just select the cycle, then press the half load button to toggle through the options and close door to start. If this is not working, please give us a call at 1-800-243-0000. ^AC

How do you get 3rd rack out? I can only get it 1/4 way, so frustrating

Asked by: Jeanna54
Pull the rack out to the end of the rails. Then, lift the front of the rack so that the rollers clear the stop on the end of the rail. The rack can now be slid forward and removed from the rails. ^AC

Why does the blue light on front of door flash while it's in operation .  Model LDF7774

I have the same question . To me a flashing light indicates a problem. I've been told by Customer Support that the flashing blue light means normal operation.

My dishes never seem to get dry. What is the best setting to ensure complete dryness?

Asked by: JOSEVERSON
The Hybrid Drying System for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG Top Control Dishwasher w/ Height Adjustable 3rd Rack, Model # LDF7774ST is designed to effectively dry dishes without the use of a heating element and use less energy. After all washing and rinsing cycles are complete, the dishwasher heats the dishes with hot water from the final rinse. This water condenses on the dishwasher's cool stainless steel tub and drains away. At the same time, a built-in fan circulates air throughout the dishwasher's interior, speeding up the condensation process. The benefits of this system are that the hybrid drying technology dries dishes more quickly than air drying. Because it dries dishes quickly while they are still hot, it also reduces the number of water spots on glass items. Rinse aid is required to enhance the drying performance. If no rinse aid is used, water may remain on the dishes and the tub. LG dishwashers are designed to be used in conjunction with a rinse aid. Using a rinse aid will maximize the amount of water that has already been sheeted away from the dishes before the dry cycle begins. Drying performance is directly affected by the amount of heat that remains in the tub after the heated rinse is performed. If your dishwasher is far away from your home’s hot water heater, it may be necessary to run the hot water tap in the sink before starting a wash cycle, to ensure that cool water is purged from the hot water lines. This will ensure your dishwasher has a consistent supply of hot water from start to finish. Using the Sanitary Rinse setting will also aid in keeping the inner drum temperature and dishes hotter before drying begins. If a rinse aid is used and the performance still needs a boost, adjust the amount of rinse aid used by the indicator on the rinse aid cap. 4 is the default setting, but if necessary, set the level to 5 so more rinse aid will be used. Allow the dishwasher to completely finish the dry cycle before opening the door. If the door is opened mid dry cycle, the heat that is necessary for the hybrid dry system to work will escape. This will cause all of the dishes inside to remain wet once the cycle finishes...^IFV
