What People Are Saying

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 77 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Upgrade to quality What a great system. I worked at Lowes and met and interviewed a lot people. Almost all the people recommended LG products over other makers. Had dryer for 3 months and " ZERO " complaints. August 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Quality LG Product We bought this dryer to match the washer. It doesn't take as long to dry the clothes because the clothes are practically dry from the final spin cycle in the washer. we like the steam dry feature and the clothes come out wrinkle free. Our other dryer gave up the ghost after 20 years. If this dryer last that long then it would be considered a good product. July 11, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Worked great Worked great for first year or so. The Electronic Control Board then went out. Replaced the ECB and dryer worked fine for a few months. Now the dryer is no longer heating. Dryer, when working properly, is great. May 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Adaptability for every dryer load This dryer is efficient without frying your clothes! It dries them is record time but it did not shrink or damage even the most delicate items I have. It is also a "smart" dryer, someone had placed a trash can in front of my dryer vent and it stopped the dryer and displayed a code telling me that there was an obstruction to the venting so the dryer would not overheat or run all day trying to dry one load. How cool is that? Do yourself a favor and go get this dryer! May 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by works well, just over a month using. works well.its nice to look at. i like it. April 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiet and efficient Does a great job. I don't use all of the fancy settings but it is easy to use and works very well. March 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super quiet! I love my new steam dryer! Our old dryer was 15+ years old and finally kicked the bucket & I must say I actually did a little happy dance!! I finally got a new steam dryer. Our old dryer took forever to dry our clothes, and it was really, really loud.....fast forward to the new dryer - I have actually gone into the laundry room to see why the dryer shut off (after just starting it & not realizing how quiet it was)!! I really do love this dryer. February 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product! This dryer is amazing. It dries so quickly. It has many pre-set options to choose or you can custom select your length of time and drying temp. I love using the steam option. I made this into a stackable unit on top of my older LG washer -- love love love! January 14, 2015

Answer:
You don't need a water connection, it has a storage container on the top left and I found that if you use distilled water it seems to smell fresher.

Answer:
It does not require a water connection. There is a small container inside the front drawer on the top left hand side. You fill it with tap water when you want to use the steam cleaning.

Wow you should not do this if you don't know the color code for ac, you should get an electrician and not burn your house down or electrocute yourself.

Answer:
To avoid damage to the dryer or the door, support the door with a stool or box that fits under the door, or have an assistant support the weight of the door. Always reverse the door BEFORE stacking the dryer on top of the washer, should that be intended. Avoid dropping the door to avoid damage to the door or the floor. THE DRYER DOOR IS VERY LARGE AND HEAVY. Failure to follow the instructions below can result in damage to the dryer, property damage or injury to persons. Open the door to reverse. Check screws to remove (4 on the Left, and 2 on the Right). Remove the four dummy screws using a screwdriver. Remove the two screws from the latch, in order to disassemble it. Hold onto the hinge while removing the 2 hinge screws (to prevent the door dropping). Remove the door from the cabinet cover. Move the door to the left side and insert the hinge to hinge hole. Hold onto the hinge while tightening the screw down onto the hinge (to prevent the door dropping). Insert the latch into the right side and install the screws. Screw down the four dummy screws into the right side. Finally, check that the door closes and latches properly.

Does this dryer turn off after mulitple loads?

When drying a load right after the first one, the dryer will start for 2 seconds then stop and restart again about 5 - 10 minutes later. We've had this dryer for a year and a half now and it's been fine with drying load after load. It's been doing this for about 3 months now, I have just placed a third service call with Sears because of this problem. I would like to know if this is normal for this dryer.

Answer:
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this dryer. It is not common for a dryer to shut off in such a manner. It is possible that there is a problem with a thermostat or something causing the unit to overheat. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

1 inch on each side and the front, and 5 inches in the back (varies if you change the venting to bottom or side venting). No clearance specifications are given for the top.
