Answer:
Dynamic and Static IP settings are both optional. Each is a setting for the network configurations, and depend upon your own personal experience with network configurations. If your home computer network has a set IP address provided by your Network Service Provider, then you will likely wish to use the STATIC IP Address, and enter that which is already available. If your network does not have a set IP address, or you are not skilled in network configurations, then you may wish to select DYNAMIC IP Address, which will search and connect with whatever IP address might be available. One option is no “better” than the other.

When I first set up this unit I could not get the rear left and right speakers to work. I contacted LG and the advised me to take the sound out of bypass, turn HDMI off and select PLII Movie. When I did this everything worked fine. When I go into audio I scroll through the menu I cannot find PLii Movie or PLII Music.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this BluRay Home Theater System. The PL II MOVIE and PL II MUSIC options are only available when the HDMI AUDIO is set to OFF, and when the SOURCE signal is configured as 2 CHANNEL SOUND. As such, if a video is originally formatted as Surround Sound, then these ProLogic settings will not be available. In these instances, the BYPASS mode will be best, as in this setting, videos with multichannel surround sound audio signals will be played according to the method by which they were recorded.

Answer:
I apologize, but no; all of our Home Theater Systems come with their own speakers. Any BluRay player that does not come with speakers do not come with speaker jacks available to provide the connection capability. We would be more than happy to assist in the repair of the current player. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 to make proper service arrangements.
