What People Are Saying

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very nice 3D player I bought this player on Amazon mostly for the 3D feature. It was very easy to set up and did everything I needed out of the box. The internet came right up but the apps seem overblown to me. I'll probably only use Netflix and Pandora. October 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by An excellent product at an affordable price! This is a great Blu-Ray player and is also a great value. It does a great job as a music player, dvd player, and also does great with Picasa and TWC. I am very happy with its functionality. June 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best for the money I received this player last Christmas as a gift and I wasn't quite sure of the quality, I had never owned a LG product before. I found it had excellant picture and the ease of use was great, and the features are ones that I believe I would find in a more expensive competitive brand. I like the fact I can connect to the internet and get more information, and updates. After owning this model for six months I went and bought another BD530 for my bedroom. I highly recommend this product! October 25, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disapointed I thought when I purchased this player that I would be able to display Netflix and Blockbuster but such was not the case. I bought another brand that would. October 24, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good blue-ray player The BD 530 works smoothly with all kind of dvd and blue-ray discs that I have. All the internet apps work great.I wish that the BD 530 has the ability to add more apps such as Netflix or Cinemanow. September 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 Great product at a great price After purchasing an LG HDTV, a Bluray player was next. This player performs just as well as players much higher priced. September 17, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easiest BluRay Player Operation This product was the easiest to install and operate. The instructions were very easy to understand. The quality of the picture is great even at the price I purchased this product. September 16, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by work of art This blueray player is very easy to set up and very intutive to use. It also has network capabilities and the manuel is very well written. It goes without saying that the picture quaility is absolutely great It was a good investment for a starter system, and I am a novice at this sort of thing and it installed without a hitch. Will buy again from LG when I upgrade. February 17, 2011

Answer:
Once you create your Netflix account from your computer, you will be able to find a link to activate devices. Select your device from the list and it will give you an activation code. You can then punch that code into your remote to activate your Netflix enabled player.

I've had my unit for 4 months and have primarily played regular DVDs and a few BluRay Disks. Both have been working fine until today. I can no longer play standard DVDs. I've tested multiple times and tried updating the firmware. Also, have reset the unit by unplugging unit an leaving it off for 5 minutes. Restrored to factory settings. No luck. I am not able to play DVDs, but can still play BluRay. What do I do?
