What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!!!! What can I say other than this thing is amazing big and easy on the eyes. The feature I really love is that I can 4 1080p screen show all at once. The picture quality is spot on for the price. I am sure ther higher ends will have high features. Though for my use and light gaming its amazing. Productivity has increased and replaced 3 monitors to just 2. Currently I have another monitor stacked for emails and performance and entertainment, whole the big guy handles all office work although its nice to have another large screen for excel. Oh yeah with the 4k screen OMG excel rows and columns galore. :P over all clean look nice picture and great picture quality. Buy buy buy BUY!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love this monitor, but there is an issue.... I have had this monitor about a month and a half now, but am noticing a flicker from the panel. Now, this occurs in the middle of movies, games, etc, but its not constant or consistent. The flicker randomly occurs, and the screen will go black for about 3-5 seconds, then shows the work-space again. It is almost like the monitor is readjusting or you have just connected the monitor to the PC. Is there a firmware update to resolve this issue? I was not seeing any update using multiple USB-A to USB-C cables (two total using OnScreen Control v2.82). I am going to try one more USB cable later today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can It supports HDR10? Everything is good until I connect my xbox one x to it, the xbox said this TV cannot support HDR10 game and movie, God this monitor is much advanced than typical 4k HDR TV, expect HDR tech! Can you support this tech in future?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dream came true Been wanting this ever since I saw the European release some time ago. It’s finally mine. Yay! The only thing that can top this now is my feature suggestion: integrated mouse/keyboard control, to control multiple OS’s connected.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Big Monitor Will Not Charge My 2016 15" MacBook Pr I purchased this a few days ago and wanted to use the monitor to display and charge my MacBook Pro 15" through the USB-C port. According to the website which states: "USB Type-C Offering a new generation of convenience, USB Type-C ports allow 4K video display, data transfer and laptop/mobile device charging, all at the same time over a single cable". That implies that it will the laptop using the same cable to view the monitor. I talked with customer support today and they said that the USB-C port only puts out 3W.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lock and Load Bought it a few weeks ago. Took me less than 10 min to install and Windows 10 promptly recognized it and I could use it immediately. So far all is well. I'd definitely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely . . . No Regrets I bought this 4K monitor 1.5 months ago. In anticipation, I hooked it up to my 2015 MacBook Pro and my work PC laptop. I was taken aback by the spectacular display, the sheer functionality and flexibility provided. Why two screens if one does the job?! I can split the screen in so many ways! And I've only touched 50% of its true capability!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the color and features Pros: I own lots of monitors and TV. This LG monitor is one of the best. The color is exceptionally well calibrated and superb. The sound has good bass so I don't have to use an external speaker. Lots of pictures/source arrangements possible. Cons: Heavy. The display unit and especially the stand are heavy. Looking at the bright side, it is sturdy.

Should I be able to plug my wireless keyboard receiver into the a USB port on the hub and have a functional keyboard/mouse? Mine does not work.

Asked by: Chrispa262
In order for the USB port to work fine, you need to connect a USB C cable to the monitor going to the computer. ^AC

I have this monitor set up in a 3 screen display. GTX Titan X Pascal in SLI, all 3 monitors are connected to the main graphics card. The issue I am having is that my screen flickers ever so slightly once in a while. What might be the cause of this? Thanks

Asked by: kyle1987
Hey Kyle, I am having this exact same issue, and I believe many other users as well are. To me it seems like its the monitor looses connectivity to the PC then reconnects, like you would if you connected a monitor for the first time. Maybe a voltage/amperage issue on the board considering other users are having problems with the USB ports? This is all speculation from my end, but maybe it could point LG Support Tech in the right area?

we are Colorado State University & we are TAX exempt. We would like to order a monitor however we MUST NOT be charged tax. How do I go about ordering with a dept. P-Card & make sure I'm not charged TAX?

Asked by: Pat S
Hi Pat S. LG is not a direct reseller and the LG 43" Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor (42.5" Diagonal), Model # 43UD79-B will have to be purchased from an LG Authorized Reseller. On its product page on our site, is a tab labeled as 'Where to Buy' When you click on that tab, you can enter your zip code into the appropriate search field that is on the page that opens up. Another page will open listing all the online sites and retailers who carry this monitor who are in a 50-mile radius of the zip code you enter. There will be links and phone numbers for each listed online site and retailer and you can contact them or visit their sites to inquire about their Tax Exempt policies and what will be required from you to apply the tax exemption to your purchase...^IFV

Does the split screen feature or the Picture in Picture mode work for a single input? Let's say a single PC, but I wanted to display 3 separate windows in full screen.

Asked by: Nathan1201
The split screen will work on a single input. You will have an option to split the screen into 2-4 windows at the same time and the screen will also be divided but you will not get a full screen. If you want to display 3 separate full screen windows on a single input, then it’s not Split Screen anymore. ^AC

Is it possible to disable the remote input or block the IR receiver (if it uses IR)? The monitor is in the same room as a LG TV and is picking up signs from the TV remote. VERY annoying.

Asked by: ojko

Does it work with the XBOX in 4K mode?

Asked by: 1MORLAP
You HAVE to use the provided HDMI cable from LG that comes with the monitor. The one that came with the Xbox One X did not work.
