What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Many Admirers! I've had my fridge for about 6 months. I live in a studio and sleep in the same room with it. I chose this model because LG bottom freezer models get high marks for quietness in consumer magazines. I've been sleeping better since I got it. Need I say more. Well, I will, because it also gets many unexpected complements without even being pointed out to guests. They notice the sleek design right away, and are very curious to see inside. I try to keep it really tidy inside, inspired by the good looking interior. I like the three freezer drawers which mean I don't have to dig to find frozen foods. For a small refrigerator compartment, it seems to store a lot. I would give it five stars if it wasn't a little tricky to remove the shelves for cleaning. In order to pull them out I must first remove the door storage compartments, and their contents, and open the door to it's full extent. Still, I'm happy with this fridge!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best choice I spent about 6 months looking for the best refrigerator to fit into a smaller space in my San Francisco kitchen. The LG freezer on bottom unit I selected fits into the width restrictions without loosing the needed space inside. Freezer on bottom makes so much sense and the drawers make it easy to find what I am looking for. Clean and well lit inside and clean attractive look outside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size! Purchased this refrigerator in August 2015 to replace my side by side that died way too soon. Saw this fridge on the website and was immediately smitten. This fridge is compact, but holds a lot if you manage your food purchases. Takes up very little space in your kitchen, has sensor beep letting you know the door is open and great led lighting. This fridge is truly Perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect size I love the small footprint of this fridge and it still has generous interior space. The one downside to this item is the lighting. The lights are down the center in the back of the fridge so when it is full it is very dark because the food blocks the light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Solution Our Refrigerator was "slowly dying" and I kept delaying the inevitable. Finally I started shopping around. Was looking for the bottom freezer type, as I have issues with my back & thought since I was in the refrigerator more than the freezer, that would make more sense. I could not have made a BETTER decision. Since space was an issue, this was a perfect fit, has plenty of room inside & a PERFECT SOLUTION to our situation. It is quiet, sleek design and is doing a great job for us. It is a perfect size for a family of 2!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for small space or small household I love the freezer on the bottom and having drawers to separate my frozen items. As a single person, it is just the right amount of space for the food I keep in there. I anticipate a lower electric bill due to the smaller interior and more efficient use of space. I had the Euro version of this (Vesta) at my home in Baltimore and it had a wine rack along the top of the refrigerator interior. I miss that, and it cost y'all a star! ;-) I do like the beep when I forget why I am standing looking into it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This refrigerator has great features. I love the freezer on the bottom. I was greatly surprised by the amount of room in the refrigerator and freezer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unique size and footprint makes this a winner. I have a rather small kitchen, so floorspace is critical. I also live alone, and although I cook and entertain, I have no need of a monster "Family-size" refrigerator. This LG model fits flush with the countertops and has the freezer below (where it belongs). It's virtually silent, and the sleek and modern lines don't draw attention to itself. The inside compartments and drawers are brilliantly designed to be flexible. Case in point: I can fit an entire Thanksgiving dinner (25-lb turkey, etc.) inside with space to spare!

Can you put something on top of the refrigerator?

Asked by: Gabyeoun
We appreciate your interest in this refrigerator. If anything is positioned on top of the cabinet, be certain there is room for air circulation to prevent overheating behind the unit. Heat generated by the sealed system comes from the back of the cabinet and disperses over the top of the unit.

Length of outlet cord

What is the length of the outlet cord. Where does it attach to the refrigerator? I am trying to determine how far from the outlet the fridge can be.
Asked by: ldubs
The length of the cord is about 8.5 feet and comes from center top of the fridge.

Lbn10551ps does the door have to swing past 90 degrees to open drawers? I am installing next to a wall on the hinge side.

Asked by: Curtiss
I have mine up against a wall and the drawers open fine. It.s actually against the baseboard which gives it a little wiggle room.

follow up on my earlier question: would a container that is 16 ¾" x 12 ¾" by 2" high fit in the freezer section of LBN 10551PS?

None of your answers was helpful. It is not a question of the volume of the 16 ¾" by 12 ¾" by 2" H container vs. the total capacity of the freezer section of the LBN 10551PS. The question is whether, given those dimensions, the container would fit in the freezer section. For example, if the width and the depth of the freezer section are less than 16 ¾, the container will not fit, regardless of its cubic footage. The question can be easily answered by measuring the width and depth of the freezer section. I need to know the answer before buying the appliance.

Is the capacity of the freezer really larger than the fridge?  What color are the sides?  What is the large white thing inside the door of the freezer?  Where do the ice cube trays go?

Asked by: Cardarch
No, the capacity for the freezer section on the LG Large Capacity 2 Door Bottom-Mount Refrigerator, Model # LBN10551PV is 3.6 cubic feet versus 6.5 cubic feet for the Refrigerator section. Our apologies for the error on our site where the capacities were erroneously inverted. The sides of this unit are gray. We would need some clarification on what you're referring to as the "large white thing" inside the freezer door. The only thing on the freezer door is the inner insulation to keep the inside of the freezer cold and that is where the Ice Tray will be so that your ice cubes don't melt...^IFV
