What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Watch I love the features and the way it operates...just wish it would work with Verizon SIM.....but that Verizon's fault.....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Improvements I'd like to see Improvements I'd like to see on the LG Watch Sport: Let me start by saying I own The Watch Sport & I'm using it the the Verizon wireless network. 1- Stronger Battery - Current battery isn't strong enough to support moderate use of advanced features. 2-Improved LTE Service - The technology isn't there yet to support regular use of cellular service. Also, improvements in making / receiving calls while in blue tooth mode without going through call set up process... 3-Improved Design - While I didn't mind the bulkiness of the watch; it still looked very ordinary. A sportier look like the Samsung Gear S3 would've been better. 4- Better promotion of watch - LG & Google did a horrible job promoting the watch; especially its compatibility to Verizon. Had they promoted the watch better along with specific instructions on how to pair it on Verizon network; that would've translated into better watch sales.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic little R2 unit! Naughty Engineers. I absolutely love the features and sensors crammed into this new 2.0 droid watch. It has it's little quarks when attempting to reset and pair to a new phone, but not insurmountable. The one thing I do miss is a phone feature from my older 1.0 droid watch that are NOT supported in this little gem. Since this watch is setup to be a standalone phone on its own, the engineers seem to disregard the fact that a great many users will NOT use it in this mode. Like me, they will NOT buy a SIM card and activate the cellular phone on this watch. Interestingly, the watch will default with all the cellular stuff turned on consuming the battery power--and presumably, this is so that you could make 911 calls. But I have my phone for that. So i had to go in and disable all the unused cellular radio support to save on battery usage. The bigger dismay is that the watch phone features still prefer you to use the watch as your phone interface, rather than your actual phone. For example, without activating special hidden features, you can only reject calls from your phone. You cannot accept the call from your watch and have the conversation on your phone as one would expect--and as it worked in wearables 1.0. But you CAN activate a special hidden feature that allows you to accept that phone call on your watch, but that means you are accepting the phone call on your watch. The audio is played through your watch speaker and you use the mic on the watch. Not what most of us want to do when we say we want to accept a phone call. There should also be the option to accept the phone call via the watch, but still have it all processed through the phone--or the car connected to the phone. And that may be the issue. It seems in this mode the watch may sometimes interfere with the proper phone pairing between the phone and the car--not allowing the car to be the one to handle phone calls. So, in my case, I just have to disable the ability to "accept" calls from the watch so that it won't interfere with using the phone in the car. The perfect watch for me would be this watch with the full breadth of sensors, but without the ATT cellular phone built-in. Other than that, I love this thing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the fitness and other services I use the fitness app for I use the Google Fit app for running, weight lifting, and other training daily and love the convenience of not needing my phone. Weather is handy. Notifications are important for my business. GPS sync needs the phone before a run usually. The battery barely lasts the day but has not run down yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best watch I have used I have tried Gear S3 and a few other watches. This one is hands down the best watch I have ever used. Decent battery life, nice design. Works well, stays connected. I don't use the LTE but it is nice to have the option.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Would buy again, but with reservations I returned two other smartwatches, the first due to poor battery life, and the second because it didn't integrate with my (non-Samsung) phone to the extent I wanted it to. So the fact that I've actually kept this watch is saying something. That said, while the Watch Sport delivers more battery life and has the integration I was looking for, calling it Android Wear's flagship smartwatch has more to do with how low the bar is than anything else. Some good things: - it's one of the only Android Wear watches with all of the sensors you probably want – heart rate monitor, NFC/Android Pay, GPS, Bluetooth, etc. It had better have all the things given its size, price, and the fact that you can't swap out bands because engineers couldn't fit everything in the case. - it may be bulky and lack the looks of some competitors, but it's not the ugliest smartwatch I've ever seen, either (at least there's no flat tire!) - It feels substantial – heavy, even. Not for everyone, but I like it. - Battery life isn't as terrible as some reviewers make it out to be (I don't have LTE and don't work out enough, both of which probably matter), but you're definitely not going to get more than 18 hours out of it. - The rotating crown makes navigating easier (touch targets are pretty small, even on such a big watch). - Performance and usability have been more seamless than I expected for Android (I wish I could say the same about my Pixel). - The watch started really growing on me when Android Wear and apps for the platform started getting better (especially Google Assistant and Google Fit). Assuming the watch has enough runway to support future OS upgrades for a while, and assuming third parties continue to step up support, the best is yet to come. Some complaints: - I'm not sure if there's a cheap coating on it or what, but the case is VERY prone to scratches and dings. This thing showed more damage after the first month than my 2-year-old AW and decade-old traditional watch did, combined. I don't think I'm particularly hard on my watches, and especially given how big the thing is, you're going to knock into stuff once in a while just living your life. It's unfortunate how unforgiving the case is when you do. - I hope you like the band, because you're stuck with it. This is unfortunate, since it's not terribly comfortable and also seems to pick up smells. I cook/grill a lot, and after smoking a pork shoulder one fine Sunday, I still smell smoke on it 3 months later. - Sometimes it doesn't charge. Maybe it wasn't seated correctly or maybe there's actually an issue, but given the battery life, it's pretty annoying to have the thing die an hour into your workday because nothing productive was happening as it sat in the charging cradle all night. As Android Wear goes, it's the best smartwatch out there. Considering the alternatives, though that's not saying much.  I'd buy it again if nothing better presented itself, but as the flagship of Android Wear, it's pretty underwhelming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This watch is amazing! I've had it for about 2 weeks, and I'm hooked. Love to wear it and use all the features. So cool to make and receive calls on your wrist. It's not too big, don't listen to the reviews. And the battery life is fine and actually incredible if you're not using LTE. It's comfortable, stylish and works very well. I'm using it with TMobile and have no problems, It has it's own phone #. Just hoping to see more apps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Watch. I absolutely love this watch. Some people complain about the size of it. I however think it's the perfect size and it's fantastic in every way possible. I've been nothing but happy with it.

We appreciate your interest in this smart watch. The watch would only connect through the mobile device. If you are wanting to connect Bluetooth earphones as well, it would be dependent on the mobile device being used.

How many years does the battery on the watch last? And if it has expired how can we replace it?

Asked by: Navagolf
We would not have a life expectancy for the battery for this smart watch. The life expectancy of the battery would vary based on customer use.

How do I set a heart rate alarm? Want the watch to notify me when my heart rate passes 140bpm. Also, can I connect a TickrX heart rate strap via bluetooth so the heart rate is more accurate?

Asked by: bkinnj
We do appreciate your interest in this device. The heart rate feature is only intended for measuring your heart rate. There would not be a way to set an alert when it passes a certain bpm. Also, compatibility of the TickrX with the watch would not be guaranteed due to Android Wear being required.
