What People Are Saying

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 439 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by We really like this product This product is easy to use, has excellent video and audio. We have really enjoyed this product. July 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great price for a decent gaming LED I purchased this television about 8 months ago at a spectacular price. It was on sale at my local retailer and I was looking for a slightly larger TV to fill out my smaller apartment's living room. I bought it for gaming and watching Netflix and Amazon Instant. It works wonderfully. There are lots of color and saturation and brightness options that fit any color room or any lighting. I love that the bezel is not too big but not gone completely (I didn't want a screen that went to the edge). Perfect. June 6, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Was nice while it lasted The TV was nice while it lasted. We had the TV just over a year and it quit working. We don't use the TV very often so to say the least we were quite disappointed. Picture was good when it worked. July 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great TV I love my LG TV, great product my first LG TV and I am very happy with this product. May 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for games Use this in the bedroom to play games on and it works great. May 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by We love this new TV. The features of this new TV are great and the picture quality is excellent. We use it for over the air broadcasts and with an Apple TV. Works perfectly in either case. March 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Picture We have 4 TVs, two LG 42LN5300 models. Compared to my other televisions, the picture on these are excellent. March 18, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great picture, good sound. The picture is almost as sharp at 720p as it is at 1080p. Just a really nice picture. The sound quality is very good. The "auto volume" setting, which I assume is supposed to keep the volume at least somewhat steady, doesn't seem to work. But overall a great tv. April 22, 2015

How do I make the black levels/brightness more to my liking?

I've tried the black level settings, turned up and down brightness and contrast, tried all the settings, but I haven't been able to get a good contrast ratio...the blacks are still a little gray. I really love the display otherwise and would like to keep, but part of the reason I bought an LED is for the deep black levels. Any suggestions?

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this television. The only thing we can recommend for settings would be those found in the PICTURE menu of the TV. We would normally suggest the use of the PICTURE WIZARD II function to automatically configure the different settings of the screen. If you have additional questions regarding the settings, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Answer:
Not everybody wants the tv to have a power light. When you watch anything on the tv that light would shine at you and is distracting.

We appreciate your interest in this television. The STANDBY light has an option available in the OPTION menu, so that it can be turned on or off at your discretion. The STANDBY mode can be instructed to be automatic, but this must be set in the TIME menu.
