What People Are Saying

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 79 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Nice TV Great picture. Only disappointment is with the Remote Control, it does not support surround sound which is the only issue I have found (we have a very popular brand surround sound system). Other than that I am very happy with this purchase. August 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The best Tv for my living room Best product from LG I've ever owned, This tv is so easy to use and have a great picture quality August 1, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by The TV is Great! The remote control is not! While the tv picture is great, you cannot use most of its features until the computer boots up which typically takes about 30 seconds. The voice control is not available and it is very difficult to change channels during the 30 seconds. Even after it warms up my wife will no longer use this tv. The overall features are too complicated! The voice control does not understand the request about 1/3 of the time. The pointer control works well, except when you want to surf channels. I would advise against spending any of your own money on this model! July 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent This was just what I walked into the store to get. I walked in the big box retailer where I bought this TV, went directly to their TV section and walked right up to it. There was an LG rep there who explained to me that I was looking at a newly released model. He was there that day to promote it's release and I soon realized that it had, essentially, every feature I was looking for and it was even the right size. Very thin design, exceptional picture, and readily compatible with my already existing sound system and blue ray player. I needed, was able to purchase, and found the perfect TV for our needs on a perfect day to find it. It was on sale and I also combined it with a very solid warranty. I still spent considerably less than I was planning. July 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Enjoy the streaming features on this TV!! We are so pleased with the incredible picture on this TV! Movies are so much more lifelike than with older sets and streaming from computer is so simple. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by What a surprise! Love this TV! When doing my research on TV's, I did not even consider an LG. I got to the store with three other models in mind and then I saw the LB6300 on display. It looked so much sharper than the other models that I was considering. The design caught my eye initially with the wide stance and the ultra thin bezel. The picture is beautiful and the sound is more than adequate. The smart features are impressive, as is the Magic remote. Highly recommend this TV!!! July 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by AMAZING PICTURE AND SOUND QUALITY In my 65 years on this earth theres only one thing i enjoyed more than this television and that is my car...The picture is incredible and the sound is more than ok....The options you have in this tv ranks with or above the top priced televisions....When i have company people just stop and stare at the screen and all conversations end.I recommened this tv to every and all sports and movie lovers as the refresh rate works wonderfully July 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product to recommend I agree all the good things of this TV to other reviews. I write a few things I don't like: 1. This TV has a web browser. It's great. However, this browser doesn't support Flash from Adobe. 2. I can see a gap between panel and panel frame. August 4, 2014

I see Hulu Plus and Netflix are listed as having native support on the TV. What about Amazon Prime?

Answer:
Amazon Prime worked great for the first 2 weeks I had this TV then quit when LG automatically updated the operating system. After a few days without Amazon I began a trial and error hunt for an update. I eventually found out LG had a secret update available for Amazon that had to manually download. Now Amazon is working again.

Answer:
Yeah, but I dont recommend this model because adobe flash player 10 is not compatible with it. This will prevent you from watching most of the videos on your web browser. Unless they add it to their app store dont invest in this model.

We appreciate your interest in this television and its features. The latest information received states that the WebOS televisions do not support Flash Player in any version. They do, however, support HTML5 video. Any other video will only be available through one of the WebOS apps.

Processor - LB6300

1) The processor in the LB6300 - is it dual-core or quad-core?
2) Can you please also provide the processor's make and model?
3) Are you actually able to browse the web on the LB6300 without a custom app (ie. go to youtube.com without using a youtube app)? On last year's model (2013) the processor and RAM were too slow to view anything on the web without an app.
4) Why has LG hidden the processor information everywhere I look? Are they using inferior processors compared to those by Samsung and the rest of the competition?

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in the LG 55LB6300 55" 1080p 120Hz Smart LED. This TV does not have a processor in it. In fact, the LB series in the 55" TVs do not have a processor. The Models that have a dual core processor would be the GA, LA and LN series.
As for the browser, if you have a full web browser, you do not need an app to access internet content, but you have to remember the LG Smart TV features a built-in web browser that lets you search the Internet for a particular website by URL or your Favorites list and It supports up to Flash 11, but does not support platform-dependent technology like ActiveX. The web browser only replays the following media file formats - JPEG/PNG/GIF. Not all websites will be available for download, because of size and content.
Your proximity from the router can affect the speed of the downloads or the speed of the router itself. If you're too far from the router, try a Wi-Fi range extender, that should help. If you need more information on the processors used in other models, please contact Customer Information Center at (800)243-0000...IFV

We appreciate your interest in this television. The settings for the Factory Default settings are those optimal configurations for the TV itself. However, the best image can vary according to the room in which it is being viewed. As such, the settings should be set according to your personal preference. If you continue to have difficulty with these settings, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 to troubleshoot the matter.
