What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice Machine I purchased the washer dryer combo because I live in an older home where the washer hook-up is in the kitchen with no area for the dryer. I mainly use the dryer in winter due to hot desert climate. I only wish that it filled with a bit more water but it does a great job of cleaning and has many load selections to choose from, even multiple rinse cycles. The dryer works by condensation so the clothes are usually damp when removed but dry quickly if laid out or hung up for a bit and are not wrinkled. The only negative is that the interior light stopped working within a month of purchase. I will try getting this replaced thru warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simplified my life Amazing!! Be sure to read the reviews and play around with the various settings to get the right dry times and to deal with wrinkles. Probably not great for more than a 4 person house because of the drying time. But perfect for 1-2 people. Saves space, especially if you're too short for stackable a like me!! Go boldly and purchase this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent laundry machine for small spaces I bought this machine one month ago and let me tell you I am very happy with the results as of today. I spent quite some time reading reviews and searching about features and other choices around, until I decided give it a chance to this machine. There are no regrets at all. You just have to know how to install it and it does the job. Sometimes when I wash my towels they come out slighly wet, but nothing than a couple of hours can reaolve, I bought a small rach to put heavy clothes that comes out wet. Other than that clothes comes out very clean and dried. Energy consimption is great, nothing compared with the higher costs of using a regular dryer conection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome After getting used to a steam like dryer feel you will love this unit. I personally have found that when the dryer cycle is complete I leave the door open for about 1/2 hour....for complete drying...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great idea, geat features I loved the idea of the 2in1 concept, but the dryer does not dry completly. My towels and sheets were still damp even after 5 hrs. So I got the dryer to go with it. Its a great machine for small spaces and if you have a small family and don't mind airing your clothes out to dry after using the machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Machine Ever! I love, love, love my washer/dryer combo! This machine cleans well and I never have to worry about forgetting wet clothes in the dryer again! This machine does take some getting used to so consider the following: 1. It takes significantly more time to dry, we have adjusted the way we do laundry, no more marathon laundry days, we do loads several times per week. 2. Clothes may come out feeling a bit damp, just shake off the "wet" and the clothes are actually super dry. 3. Cleaning the lint is a pain, I keep baby wipes around for this purpose. 4. Emptying the water from the water line is a must if clothes are not drying properly. 5. DO NOT OVERFILL, this machine can hold a lot but was not meant to be stuffed full. We live in a condo and this unit is really a space saver, but even if I lived in a traditional house I would still use this machine. I have had the machine for over a a year at this point and I have had zero issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ANYONE WITH DRYING ISSUE MUST READ!! Bought this about 3months ago and like everyone else clothes were coming out wet or damp,..LOWER YOUR DRAIN...its really that simple. My husband was ready to take it back n get a regular gas dryer n washer set, but i love this machine n how it cleans, so i googled n youtubed everything i could about it. Everyone said it dried better lowering drain tube. I tried this, temporarily draining into my shower right now until the plumbing can be cut down and ALL CLOTHES ARE DRY. every material Ive tried is now drying COMPLETELY.....Lower your drain and your drying issues will be solved. We have to lower ours almost 3feet. this machine takes more effort to drain being that it is heat condensing, ,lowering your drain will maximize draining and drying at the same time. Please try i am 100% positive this works and this machine is as awesome as it seems

Whenever I set my clothes to dry when it's finished it still comes out moist

Asked by: Domocampos
The LG Front Load Washer / Dryer Combo, Model # WM3997 does not dry the same way standalone standard dryers do. The washer will automatically run a spin cycle before the DRY cycle begins to attempt to extyract as much water as possible from the clothing before it begins to dry. That may add an additional 14 minutes to the cycle any time the dry setting is chosen. Water is needed in order for the combo to perform the dry function. The cold water is used to condense the moisture in the air. If water is not supplied to the unit, the clothes will not be dried. Make sure your taps are fully opened. You also have to keep in mind that the capacity for drying in this unit is smaller for this unit than it's washing capacity. If you are washing a full sized load, the drying capacity will be half of that and if you place too much clothing in one load when washing, you will need to reduce the load size for drying otherwise the clothes will not dry or take forever to dry. If your clothes are coming out warm but still wet, that signals that the unit is heating but not drying your clothes effectively. Clean the drain pump filter at the bottom left of the unit...^IFV

Where is the lint trap???  After every single load I have to clean the front because of all The build up. It's actually making me want to return it. Such a hassle

Asked by: Mholla
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washing machine. The only filter appears to be the DRAIN PUMP FILTER, located behind the cover on the bottom left corner of the cabinet. For additional information, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Doesn't run when turned on LE light blinking

Asked by: Jazzy Dude
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washing machine. The LE Error Code, for a washing machine, indicates that the Wash Tub is not rotating properly. This could potentially be caused by the machine being overloaded. Troubleshooting steps can be located in the owner’s manual on page 35.

What is the average dry time a normal size load? It took 3 pillow cases and I king size sheet over 2 hours to dry completely.

We appreciate your interest in this combination washer/dryer. This machine can either utilize the Automatic Dry function, or it can be set on a Timed Dry cycle for 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes, depending upon your selection. Information about this cycle can be viewed on page 26 of the owner’s manual.

Washer dryer combo will not lock worked last cycle went to do another load and won't lock

Asked by: Mathews
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washer/dryer combination unit. The failure of the door to latch will typically result from either something obstructing the latch, the latch already being tripped or the door not being fully closed. If this does not resolve the matter, then please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.
