Laundry At the Speed of Life

More free time

More free time

Towers of towels, piles of sweatshirts, and a mountain of jeans? Go for it. The extra large capacity (3.7 cu.ft.) tub lets you do more laundry in fewer loads. That’s time saved and sore backs avoided.

Experience Steam Cleaning

Experience Steam Cleaning

There's no clean like a steam clean. Our Steam technology gently but powerfully penetrates fabrics to virtually eliminate dirt, odors and wrinkles.

Count on it

When you buy a washer, you want something reliable that you can count on. Because the Direct Drive Motor uses fewer moving parts and operates more efficiently, LG confidently backs the motor with a 10-year warranty.

The hottest thing in cold clean

Using the cold cycle on your washer doesn’t have to mean compromising. ColdWash™ technology uses cold water and enhanced washing motions to penetrate deep into fabrics, giving you cold water savings with warm water performance.

Save money. Save energy.

Save money. Save energy.

When your washer uses about 30% less energy and half the amount of water used by regular washers, you’re going to make an impact—on your utility bills, your energy and water consumption, and most importantly, the environment.

What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Washer Ever! I've had the machine for about a year, and I can't say enough good stuff about it. I love the way it handles bulky, delicate, filthy, etc. The sanitary setting is great, and it does an excellent job all around

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Machine Would Give Zero Stars. DO NOT BUY This is a horrendous washing machine on many accounts. Like another reviewer, my cloths come out smelling moldy and disgusting. The rubber seal where you load the washer fills with water after each load and requires using a full towel to soak up as it is quite deep. Even when leaving the door open, the washer develops deep, smelly disgusting mold. It is unavoidable. Further, the drawer where you place the soap fills with water each cycle and the cups remains filled (!!) so you have to manually dump the removable one(s) yourself. Some of the compartments aren't even removables so there's nothing you can do but soil more towels to soak the water up. It makes no sense! I googled the model to read other people's experiences & reviews. I was hoping the model had been recalled because I can't describe this machine as anything but horribly defective in multiple ways. Buyer beware: DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. I will not be investing in LG products, moving forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Love Love!!! I bought a similar model for my previous home becausenI didn't have room for a dryer and this was a perfect solution! Spins the clothes so well that it doesn't take long to hang dry. But when we sold our unit the buyer wanted my washer!! :(. I agreed only if I could get a new model in my new home. This time I bought the matching dryer. Twice the pleasure of doing laundry! I put them in my Master closet. They couldn't do a better job and they are so convenient! I just fold and put them away or hang.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My cloths smell like wet dog, no matter what I do! After 2 decades of an ASKO this washer just doesn't make the grade. No mater what I do, my clothes just never smell clean. I sterilize the tub weekly. I do a "quick wash" after every regular wash to rinse out any soap that may be left. I can't use high fragrance soap to mask the smell. I am so very disappointed in this machine. I do like the dryer though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine I have had my LG washer for about 2 months. Every feature is well engineered! I have used most of the cycles and find them well identified and described. My new washer is quiet and gets my laundry so much cleaner than my dead 15 year old top of the line front loader. The spin cycle is so efficient that my 15 year of dryer is renewed, and takes much less drying time because of the washer spin action. I can hardly hear the washer running. I am using even less soap than my previous machine and my water billing has been lower. I am expecting a long useful life from this well designed washer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing machine I was a bit skeptical of the "New age" machine, being used to the old style basic models. I must say I am very impressed and love the choice of settings on this machine. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The construction of this product is impressive.. I am impressed as to how well this product was built. The quality of construction really shows. I expect to get many years of service from this washing machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BEST PRODUCT EVER! Is it crazy that I look for excuses to use the washer? I absolutely love this washer, it allows me to adjust for all the different types of laundry, (hand washables, delicates, towels, exercise clothes, slip covers) we have in our household. I don't mind the extra laundry I have because it is a "Smart" washer and the cycle time adjust to the weight of the load I have put in the washer. It actually inspired me to remodel my laundry room. Do yourself a favor and get yourself this washer, you will not regret it!

The rubber around the inside of the washer collects water and also gets very dirty and causes dirt streaks on the  clothes.  I have scrubbed the inside of the rubber but do not think this is something that should be happening.  Can I replace the rubber?

Noisy during spin cycle

Over the past couple months, our washer is making noticeable louder noises during the spin cycle (rotational noise that gets louder as the spin speeds increase). Any ideas on what might be causing this as the machine is only 2.5 years and does not see heavy use as there is only 2 of us?? I confirmed the machine is balanced with a level.

how do I clean spots from my washer glass door?

Asked by: virgie
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washing machine. The cleaning of the glass door should be possible with the use of hot water and a soft cloth. You may also try to utilize a mild detergent. Do not allow the detergent to drain into the wash tub, as this can affect the washer operations.

Red Logo next to time clock?

Today the drum would not empty the water at end of cycle.I emptied the drum through the drain hose located on the left front bottom. I removed the filter and found a small piece of lint less than the size of a dime. We restarted machine and noticed in the time clock area a red circle with some kind of logo in the middle. 1. What does this mean?
Asked by: Inletjoe
There are 2 indicator lights immediately beside the TIME indicator. The TOP light is the DOOR LOCK INDICATOR light. This indicates that the door is locked. The washer door will lock while the washer is operating. The door can be unlocked by pressing the START/PAUSE button to stop the washer. The LOWER light is the DELAY WASH INDICATOR. This indicator shows that the washer has been set for DELAY WASH. The washer will start automatically after the set delay time has passed. This information can be reviewed on page 10 of your owner’s manual.

How or how often is the detergent released?

I've owned my front load inverter direct drive steam washer for a month now and my clothes are not coming clean. My question is how or how often is the detergent released from the dispenser? I'm using liquid detergent. I've checked the detergent tray several times throughout the wash to make sure it's being released. 1/3 to 1/4 of the detergent is still in the tray after the wash cycle is finished. Should it have released all of the detergent by the end of the wash cycle?
Asked by: Kls14
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washing machine. All of the dispenser contents should have been released during the cycle. Be certain that the detergent used is labeled as High Efficiency (HE). There should be no more than about 2 tablespoons of detergent per cycle. If additional assistance is needed, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.
