Laundry At the Speed of Life

Soccer practice. Groceries. Dinner. Dishes. Shouldn't your laundry move as fast as you? Now it can, with LG's enhanced TurboWash® technology. Powerful high-pressure nozzles save 30 minutes per load, cutting wash time by half—without shortcutting cleaning performance, even on larger loads. Innovation that keeps up with your family calendar? That's not just laundry done fast—it's laundry at the speed of life.

*Compared to an LG top load washer without TurboWash. Based on AHAM-HLW-1-2010 test protocol. Cotton / Normal or comparable cycle at default settings, 8 lb. loads. Excludes quick wash or comparable cycles intended for small, lightly soiled loads only.

More free time

More free time

Towers of towels, piles of sweatshirts, and a mountain of jeans? Go for it. The extra large capacity (3.7 cu.ft.) tub lets you do more laundry in fewer loads. That’s time saved and sore backs avoided.

Experience Steam Cleaning

There's no clean like a steam clean. Our Steam™ technology gently but powerfully penetrates fabrics to virtually eliminate dirt, odors and wrinkles.

Count on it

When you buy a washer, you want something reliable that you can count on. Because the Direct Drive Motor uses fewer moving parts and operates more efficiently, LG confidently backs the motor with a 10-year warranty.

The hottest thing in cold clean

Using the cold cycle on your washer doesn’t have to mean compromising. ColdWash™ technology uses cold water and enhanced washing motions to penetrate deep into fabrics, giving you cold water savings with warm water performance.

Save money. Save energy.

Save money. Save energy.

When your washer uses about 30% less energy and half the amount of water used by regular washers, you’re going to make an impact—on your utility bills, your energy and water consumption, and most importantly, the environment.

What People Are Saying

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 187 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing machine I was a bit skeptical of the "New age" machine, being used to the old style basic models. I must say I am very impressed and love the choice of settings on this machine. Highly recommend! July 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has all the features needed I am very happy with all the different features this product has and they are easy to use. August 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The construction of this product is impressive.. I am impressed as to how well this product was built. The quality of construction really shows. I expect to get many years of service from this washing machine. June 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great machine I have had my LG washer for about 2 months. Every feature is well engineered! I have used most of the cycles and find them well identified and described. My new washer is quiet and gets my laundry so much cleaner than my dead 15 year old top of the line front loader. The spin cycle is so efficient that my 15 year of dryer is renewed, and takes much less drying time because of the washer spin action. I can hardly hear the washer running. I am using even less soap than my previous machine and my water billing has been lower. I am expecting a long useful life from this well designed washer. July 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The BEST PRODUCT EVER! Is it crazy that I look for excuses to use the washer? I absolutely love this washer, it allows me to adjust for all the different types of laundry, (hand washables, delicates, towels, exercise clothes, slip covers) we have in our household. I don't mind the extra laundry I have because it is a "Smart" washer and the cycle time adjust to the weight of the load I have put in the washer. It actually inspired me to remodel my laundry room. Do yourself a favor and get yourself this washer, you will not regret it! May 12, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very nice washer This washer has lots of great features. It cleans my clothes much faster than my old GE washer did and drying is just as fast! Overall, I am very pleased. April 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Good Overall Washer Lots of great features, and much improved over my Maytag! The only drawback is the loud thumping when it first sets/balances the load. However, the spinning cycles are very nice and quiet, and the clothes are nice and clean. I would buy it again if I had it to do over. April 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love It! My unwelcomed Christmas gift was to wake up the next morning and find my dryer was dead...So after reading Consumer Reports and lots of reviews we chose to replace both the washer and dryer with the LG. Didn't think I needed the 'extra' features, but now cant live without them. Things are cleaner, I actually like doing laundry now :) And thanks to our salesman for convincing me we needed the pedestals - my back and knees thank him every time I use the washer and dryer. My washer hookups require the washer to be on the right, which means that the door hinge should be on the right as you look at the machine from the front.

When I bought my machine the salesman asked me which side I wanted the doors to open on because they can be switched and he was going to fix it before it was delivered.

our hot water tank is a long way from the washing machine hookup; thus for warm/ hot wash loads we are curious if the internal heater element is used to raise the water temperature?

thanks

Answer:
Yes. Our water heater is also far away from our washer, but the machine does a very adequate job of heating the water on it's own.

The WDP4W pedestal is shown on your website, but I already have a WDP3W pedestal. The dimensions appear to be the same.

Answer:
Yes, the WM3070 is compatible with the WPD3W pedestal. I had the older pedestal and just bought the WM3070 and it fits perfectly. The only difference is the newer pedestals design doesn't stick out as far (handle only). Otherwise there is no difference.

I ran out of space above. Providing that a recessed laundry box is used for recessing the drain and hot and cold water valves is there any extra depth needed other than the 29 3/4" shown when the unit is stacked using the kit with the matching DLGX3071 dryer?

Answer:
Unless you also have a recessed electrical plug, or your plug is higher on the wall than the washer, you will need to account for those few inches as well.

Also, keep in mind this is a front loader, so you will need room for the door to swing open, which is another couple feet in front for optimum access.

Some king size comforters can fit a 3.7 CU. FT. washer, but 4.3 or 5.1 cu. ft. would be best for those big volume comforters.
