What People Are Saying

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 206 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Washer This washer has a lot of features and works great. Love the sound of music when it is finished. August 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by WoW! Uses less water? No. Uses very little water. My first load was white clothes. When I saw the amount of water in the machine, I was very upset. I did not thing that the clothes would be cleaned. I wanted to shout, when those bright white clothes came out of that washing machine with so little water used. If you pay the water bill, get this machine. You will not believe it. I still don't. August 21, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Stuck on Turbowash - Don't Buy Worked great first few months until I tried the Turbowash. Now the normal and heavy duty cycles are stuck on TW & the permenant press cycle is defaulted to TW so you have to manually turn it of eveytime. The TW is an option that I had to add the first time I used it. I did not like it as the clothes felt & selled like the detergent was not rinsed out completely. I use an approved HE liquid and only 1/2 of the amount the dispenser calls for. I was told by the serivce repair person that they could not fix it as LG customer sevice says that it is supposed to function that way. I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone with customer service myself and was finally told that once youuse the TW for the first time it is DESIGNED to stay on and you can not turn it off, and that they would not repair it. The owners manual states that TW is an option that you can add when you want and nowhere does it state that it will stay on. Now instead of pressing 2 buttons to start a normal load I have to choose a different cycle, adjust the water temperature, the spin speed and the soil level before starting a load. August 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it Couldn't be easier to use. We have a septic system and this uses far less water with better cleaning. This is a big plus for us. August 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stackable washer and dryer Love this washer! Has all the settings I need. Ony thing is that when you put too much soap in it over flows (by too much I mean you fill it up to the normal fill line with he detergent). Ours is in the garage so it doesnt bother us too much if it overflows, but now that we know exactly where to fill it, it cleans wonderfully and is quite and nice! Love it in white!! August 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by One word sums it up. WOW!! Love it. It washes super. Its silent. I only know when it is finished cause of the little song it plays. I like that. Would recommend to anyone who needs a great washer. August 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by This product has lots of great features I really like the ease of use of this machine and the variety of options. The only negative is the time it takes to do certain loads of washing. July 31, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Greatest features for a busy lady I have never owned a washer and dryer that had so many user friendly features. It was so easy to become accustomed to the newest features and I have to say that my clothes come out looking like they are new. And the added comfort of a 10 year warranty is great. And in addition, they are totally beautiful. July 29, 2015

How do I add vinegar to the rinse cycle? Can I do so without damaging the machine or accessories?

Thanks!

Answer:
I have read on a few sites that you can just use it in place of fabric softener in the dispenser. I have had my washer for just over a month and have been using vinegar without a problem. While the drum is stainless steel it mixes in with water from what I can tell so I think the chances of it causing a problem are low if there are any. My son has allergies and fabric softener bothers him so I have been using vinegar for years, but I only recently switched to this washer.

We appreciate your interest in this washing machine. This washer is designed to lock the door during its operation. The same will be true during the RINSE cycle.

Answer:
I haven't had that issue. There is a filter at the bottom front left corner that you are suppose to clean out once a month. If someone has cleaned that out and not properly tightened that certainly could leak. When you do go to clean out that filter you would want to put a thick towel under the front of the machine just to catch the water the will come from that filter area. It will be a lot.

Answer:
If I have something that specifies "hand wash", I hand wash, no exceptions. I've never seen a "hand wash" setting on a washer...but I'm no washer expert. I would assume that the "delicates" cycle would closest resemble an actual hand wash.

Answer:
Go to a home improvement store, buy 2 water hammer arresters. Turn off the water supply valves and remove the fill hoses from the inlet valves. Do this one hose at a time so you don't confuse the hot and cold water lines. Install the water hammer arrester to the inlet valve, then attach the fill hose to the arrester. Repeat on the other inlet valve. Turn the water supply back on and check for leaks. This will get rid of the water hammer once and for all.

Answer:
If you are experiencing a water hammer effect in your pipes, there is a way to resolve that. Try the following steps to attempt resolution to the situation. Shut off the main water valve to the home. Turn on all the faucets, opening the lowest one last (this is usually the faucet on the outside, for a garden hose). Once the lines are empty, turn off all the faucets. Turn on the main water valve. Turn on the faucets again, one at a time, from the lowest to the highest.

I just washed a bunch of sweats and sweatshirts on bulky/large setting and they came out dripping wet. The only options are spin on medium or low. I would have liked to spin it on high due to the bulkiness of the wash, but it wouldn't change. Ty.

Answer:
The reason that the Bulky Cycle spin speed is limited to med. or low is to prevent an unbalanced load situation that is more likely to happen with either Bulky or large items. If after the Bulky Cycle is complete and you desire the load to be spun out drier, simply run a spin only cycle at either high or extra high speed. Since the majority of the water weight would now be out ot the load a spin at a higher spin speed will not cause an unbalanced condition.

I guess because the bulky setting is for things like comforters and blankets, which you might consider somewhat delicate, even though they are bulky. I'd use the normal or heavy duty setting instead.
