Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water Hammer These LG HE washers have a huge water hammer issue. Just google LG HE water hammer. Not caused by my plumbing. Don't buy this machine

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Washer My wife loves it. It has all the bells and whistles she likes

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lg turbo washer First it takes about three hours to do a load properly.  I thought it was supposed to be energy efficient. Second it does not get the all clothes wet so I have to add 1 or 2 pots of water. Third it gets stuck on the spin cycle it says it has 6 minutes to go but half hour later it says the same.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from When it's good, it's good; when it's dumb ... Generally, we like this machine. But there are three DUMB design issues: (1) we wanted the base, but we have (per code) a tray that the washer sits in to catch spills, the drawer will not open because of the 2" lip of the tray ... you could have designed for this; (2) You can switch the swing of the matching dryer; so why didn't you allow the washer door to be reversed ... or had a reverse swing model ... we can't change which one goes on the right or left.... DUMB design issue; and (3) everyone knows that residual moisture is a problem in front loaders, so why isn't there a little heater and fan that runs to dry the inside of the tank...one with a humidity sensor on the exhaust port to shut off the fan/heater when the job is done? DUMB, really dumb design issues.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Why is Power Button Accessible with Child Lock On? Overall pretty decent washer. Loud when the machine is pulling in water, had to use the sioux chief hammer arrestors ans theg help...some. Can get off balance without too much strain. Tried washing pillows and that was a terrible idea. And here is the kicker...when child lock is engaged, the power button is still operational!!! My 1yo turned off the machine mid cycle ans you lose the cycle, there is no recovery! So you have to start all over again. Child lock feature, horrible execution. Another room off limits to the kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good cleaning. Very very quiet! Bought this on 01/2015. Have had no issues with it. It cleans great, my water bill is not very high even though I do at least 4 loads a week. If Washer/dryer combo are boing at the same time, I can barely tell they are going. I am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great This machine replaced a ten year old Whirlpool HE front loader. The old machine was very good, but just wore out. I didn't think it could really be improved on, but this machine is actually better. It seems to use even less water and definitely uses less soap. Work out clothes are coming out smelling very clean. And dress clothes are less wrinkled. Also, in every washer I have owned I have had trouble with my husband's French cuff dress shirts tying up everything in the washer into a big knot. There is something about that longer sleeve... But this washer spins clothes differently. I have no trouble washing those shirts anymore. And the huge capacity is fantastic. The only problem I have encountered is with load balancing with my super heavy bath mats. The machine has trouble balancing just one mat, and all three mats are too heavy. My last washer handled just one mat fine. It is a minor complaint. I think it is caused by the same feature that keeps the shirts from tying in a knot. I also love that it has a removable filter to clean. My last washer sent all the lint down the drain. The last time I bought new towels I also bought a new rooter machine for the drain. I won't miss using that thing! I also love the magnet that props the door slightly open. My last unit didn't have that and the door would fall open constantly. Our laundry room is narrow and we walk through it on the way from the kitchen to the garage. This door is never in the way. I wipe the seal on the door dry and wipe out the soap dispenser drawer when I am done doing laundry for the day and I leave both wide open for the night. In the morning I close it almost all the way. With the last front loader I used a rubber safe mildewcide on gasket about once a year. I have never had a mold or mildew problem.

Why does my "turbowash" program lasts for 1h 18min? It says 59 min. In my washer it's never 59 min...

How do I turn off the Turbowash option on the "normal/cotton" and "heavy duty" cycles?

The turbo wash option is selected as a default for the cotton/normal and heavy duty cycles and I am unable to turn off the turbo wash for these two cycles. How do I turn off this option for these two cycles, or is it an automatic option that I am unable to deselect?
Asked by: Jenea
Jenae, I also think LG should give CONSUMERS the option to TURN OFF any special option, like turbo wash. TO LG: Not everyone wants to use turbo wash, or other OPTIONS. Everybody in the world is not impatient, and wants everything rushed. If a feature is described as an OPTION, then it should be up to CONSUMER, PURCHASER, i.e., person that actually USES the machine.

Sometimes heavier items (mattress pad) hold water and not all water is released after the cycle. My mattress pad is dripping....where do I find a spin & drain only cycle?

Asked by: Jnfrclrk
The SPIN SPEED button can activate the DRAIN & SPIN cycle. Press the SPIN SPEED button repeatedly, to achieve the desired spin speed, without setting any wash option, and then press START. This should activate the DRAIN & SPIN only.

dlgx3571w can it be vent to right side

Asked by: meto
A kit is available to internally duct to the right side. I was lucky enough to have door opening space at front, so was able to get an extending duct, about 2 inches deep X 6 inches high(available at Home Depot ,Plus ?) and duct from rear while using the existing house exhaust to the right of the dryer.
