Speaking at the opening of the outlet, Mr. B.W Park, President, LG West Africa Operations, said: “This initiative is aimed at ensuring that LG delivers on its promise of a one year Pan-African warranty and also provision of excellent after-sales service” Park said, “this covers all LG products ranging from its washing machines, microwave ovens, televisions (both plasma and LCD), air conditioners, to any LG product, no matter how small.”
He stressed that the service centre is for general maintenance of LG products, adding that repairs carried out in its service centres were guaranteed to be made to LG specifications which ensures that the product would be as good as new.
Explaining how it operates, General Manager, LG Electronics Service Centre, Mr Lee Sung Oh, said, “our customers can now enjoy the benefits of the service centre which is in line with global standards and in West Africa we have a Pan African one year service warranty in place for the last four years.
LG products must be bought from authorized channels with a proof of purchase. If the product develops a fault, the user is allowed to return the product along with the original copy of proof of purchase to the service centre”.
Sung HO noted that “damages, including misuse and abuse of products are not covered by the warranty as only genuine faults will be fixed FREE of charge as appropriate within the shortest possible time”.
