[LG TV] I want to set up TV Sound Mode Share

You can apply the TV's sound mode to the soundbar or select the soundbar's sound mode via the TV settings.
This feature is available only if the soundbar connected via HDMI (ARC/eARC) supports TV Sound Mode Share or Sound Bar Mode Control.

Why is TV Sound Mode Share not working?

TV Sound Mode Share may not work if:

  • The soundbar is connected to a standard HDMI port, instead of the HDMI (ARC) port.
  • The soundbar does not support TV Sound Mode Share.
  • The TV’s webOS version does not support TV Sound Mode Share.

How do I set up TV Sound Mode Share?

Setup by TV Model Year
  • 2021 models or later (webOS 6.0 or later): Press the [Settings] button on your remote > [All Settings] > [Sound] > [Advanced Settings] > [TV Sound Mode Share].
  • 2020 models or earlier (webOS 5.0 and earlier): This feature is not supported.

How to turn on TV Sound Mode Share on 2025 or later TVs [webOS 25 or later].

  1. 1. Press the [Settings] button on your remote control and select [All Settings] from the top-left corner of the screen.
  2. 2. Select [Sound] > [Advanced Settings].
  3. 3. Select [TV Sound Mode Share].

Q. What if my TV does not support TV Sound Mode Share?
A. You can transmit sound using an Optical cable or via Bluetooth instead of HDMI (ARC).

A. Soundbar Sound Effect provides surround sound optimized for external speakers, while the TV Sound Mode delivers more balanced audio tuned for on-screen content.
