LG Refrigerator - Does the product smell of gas?

Troubleshooting

Does the product smell of gas?

If gas leaks from the refrigerator, the product cannot be used for more than a few days

for cooling and freezing, although it may differ.

If the product runs fine, then it might not be a gas leak.

Try this:

Smell: If you detect a gas-like odor, it may be a refrigerant leak. Refrigerants used in refrigerators can sometimes have a faint chemical smell.

Visual Inspection: Look for any signs of leakage, such as oil or grease near the refrigerator. ( Gas smells also disappear shortly after leak. Check if the smell is from another product.)

Ventilate the Area:

Open windows and doors to allow fresh air to circulate and dissipate any gas or odor.

Turn Off the Refrigerator:

If you suspect a gas leak, unplug the refrigerator to prevent any potential hazards.

Avoid Flames or Sparks:

Do not use any electrical devices, light matches, or create any sparks in the vicinity of the odor.

※ If the product smells of gas and cannot cool or freeze, contact the service center.
