[LG front load washing machine installation] [WashTower] I would like to know the installation/disassembly steps when moving.

Troubleshooting

Product installation and disassembly should be done by a professional LG Electronics service technician.
The installation and disassembly methods shown below are simply information designed to help customers understand the process.

Preparation to install the washing machine

Moving the washing machine indoors
1. Makes sure to move the product with a team of two persons. If you are using a cart, always place a ground protection mat for heavy goods to protect the floor.
2. Initially, move the product only to the front of the final installation site.
※ Sufficient space to install a dryer and the stack is required.

Install roller stack guides.
1. Install roller stack guides to the upper panel frame of the washing machine.
2. Make sure to fix the washing machine display wiring to the panel frame.

Roller stack guides are subsidiary materials supplied to the seller’s service technician.
Failure to use roller stack guides may result in product damage.
Be careful not to squash the washing machine power connection wires or damage the cord surfaces.

Dryer Preparation

Remove all 4 leveling legs from the dryer.
Make sure to remove the leveling legs, otherwise the dryer cannot be stacked and fixed on top of the washing machine.
※ All threads are tightened when turned clockwise and loosened when turned anti-clockwise. (Excluding some screws for rotors)

Warning!
  • Make sure to work in a team of two persons.
  • Be careful not to catch your hand underneath the dryer.
  • Be careful not to get injured when removing the leveling legs.
  • Be careful not to scratch or damage the exterior of the product./li>
  • There is a risk of damaging the product when using tools such as pliers. Use a tool for the first ½ turn, and remove the legs by hand.

Stacking work

Assemble the dryer on top of the washing machine.

1. Lift the dryer by holding the handles at the back of the dryer.
Caution: Be careful not to be hurt by the edge of the exposed panel frame on the top of the washing machine. (Wear gloves and arm warmers.)

2. Pull the dryer into the correct position.
Caution: Be careful not to get the connection wires at the function control panel caught in the washing machine frame.

3. Fix the product.
① Line up the groove on the panel frame of the washing machine with the groove on the power part of the front of the dryer.
② Check the location of the groove and tighten the 2 provided screws on the left and right sides of the front of the machine.
※ Screw tightening torque: 30 kgf.cm (2.94 N.m)

Warning!
  • Be careful not to be injured by contact with the edges of the panel frame of the washing machine.
  • Tighten the screws securely. (Tighten with the instructed fastening torque.)
  • Take caution not to apply excessive fastening torque with the screw driver when tightening the screws, otherwise the screws will just spin.
    (When using an electric screw driver, check the fastening torque of each level and tighten with adequate strength.)
  • Be careful when placing the driver tip in the screw heads in order to avoid scratching or damaging the exterior of the product.

4. Connect the dryer drain hose and securely fit the provided clamp.
※ Tool to use: Long-nose pliers
Caution: Push the hose in the direction of the arrow to the end.

5. Assemble the stack bracket at the back using the screws provided as accessories.
① In case of screws for areas other than the ones marked with X shown on the right, tighten 5 screws first.
② Use the 2 screws removed from the dryer as well as the 3 provided screws.

Connecting the water supply hose

Connect the cold water supply hose (T-shaped) of the washing machine and the water supply hose for the dryer.

  • Arrange the hose before installation so that it will not be bent or twisted. (Otherwise, water may not be supplied, resulting in the IE error.)
  • Never loosen the fixing screws for the washing machine drain hose.
    (If you loosen the fixing screws for the washing machine drain hose at the back of the product, water drains and the IE error due to continuous water supply shows.)

Assembly of the function control panel

Connect the washing machine connector wiring and the dryer connector wiring to the control panel.
※ Make sure to connect the 9-pin connector to the 9 pin and the 10-pin connector to the 10 pin.

Disassemble the power cord again and place the control panel at the dead center between the washing machine and the dryer.
Whilst holding it in place, press 3 spots in the upper part and assemble so that the dead center of the front lower part is assembled first. (Assemble in the order of ① to ④.)

Tighten the screws at the left and right sides whilst lightly pushing the front.
※ Screws to use: Φ4 TAPTITE screws

Warning!
  • Be careful not to get the connection wires caught between the structures when assembling the display panel.
  • Do not knock or hit the function control panel hard during assembly when connecting the function control panel to the product.
    Otherwise, the exterior of the product may be scratched or damaged.

Close the caps on the left and right sides.

Warning!
  • Tighten the screws securely so that the screw don’t get loosen.
  • Take caution not to apply excessive fastening torque with the screw driver when tightening the screws, otherwise the screws will just spin.
    (When using an electric screw driver, check the fastening torque of each level and tighten with adequate strength.)
  • Be careful when placing the driver tip in the screw heads in order to avoid scratching or damaging the exterior of the product.

Transportation of the product to the correct location

Move the stacked washing machine into its final location.
When moving, wrap the product with a protective cover so that the exterior of the product will not be damaged by surrounding equipment.
When combined, the weight of the product is approximately 150kg. To move the product, place a thick blanket on the floor under the leveling legs and push the product.

Warning!

Be careful not to damage the floor when moving the product.
During movement, the product may fall and cause injury.
Make sure that the product is transported in a stable condition by 2 or more people.
